OC Spotlight: Rosalina Dinkle Tart; AKA Rosy Pie · 7:33am Oct 20th, 2012
This is the first installment of OC Spotlight that is not using an OC of mine, but rather, a partner in my Roleplay group “MLP: Love is Miracles”. As such, there shall be a format shift: If the OC is my own, I’ll just put up a bio sheet and be done with it. If it belongs to another, a full on Summarize/Review blog will be written. This also means that any readers that want an OC reviewed in the spotlight need only send a pic, and provide bio information such as their cutie mark (if a pony), history, race, and an (optional) theme song in the form of a YouTube link. If no theme song is provided, that line will be omitted. Longer bios have a better chance of getting Spotlighted.
At minimum the bio should be 3 (three) 4-sentence paragraphs. This is to ensure I have enough to work with in the summary section.

(May not be accurate to creator’s intent, this is just how the character reads to me, the reviewer.)
Canonlords. Powerful beings unique in their universes, normally, one exists in each world. They take on the ultimate security job, protecting the “canon” from being thrown off-course. These entities are generally only limited in what they can do, by their own imaginations and wills. Operating within the laws of their reality almost always. For a mental picture of their true abilities, just look at Discord. By this reviewer’s estimation, Discord is a Canonlord gone rogue on his own universe, though the creator of the concept denied Discord entry to the classification when asked about this similarity.
Then this nutty mare said “screw that boring junk!” and made her limitations stop at roughly 1) “Must be fun” and 2) “If others don’t find it funny or fun, then it isn’t anymore.” It is not surprising in the least to see her blasting a Weird Al Yankovich polka from the surfboard made of pure strawberry sherbet that she is using to ride a volcano’s lava flow on a deserted island she willed into existence simply to do so… for no reason whatsoever beyond doing it.
Rosalina Dinkle Tart is lunacy made flesh and given sentience. She lives in Fillydelphia and runs a bakery/café there called the Sweetie Sweets Shoppe. She has a total of 3 employees not counting herself: a young unpaid intern unicorn who is dating Rosy’s son, and two halfling* sisters that fear being revealed to the public as not ponies. The elder sister basically runs everything except donuts, candy, and beverages. Rosy handles the donuts and orders that require a complete omission of logic to create, such as pie-flavor pies, when she’s not out being a storm of virtually-weaponized fun. The intern makes the candies, and the younger halfling sister mixes drinks. In the basement of the bakery/café is the H.U.B. (Hyper Universal Broadcast) – a movie theater-like area, complete with an infinite popcorn machine, that records every single thing in the universe and plays it back on the enormous wall-screen.

My opinion on the character
Rosy Pie is pure, unadulterated, unfiltered, hilarity in the best kind of way. I’m fairly certain everyone else here on fimfiction will insta-hate her for being totally Mary Sue, but I applaud how well she is MS’d because it is clearly a work of parody towards Mary Sues so being a Sue of unprecedented levels is just another one of her jokes. If she really was behind you, give her that hug. Her hugs are indescribably pleasant.
I give her 8 Mustaches out of 10 and plan on doing more of this creator’s OCs in coming weeks.

*Halflings: half-pony half-changeling; naturally changeling in appearance, but can transform like one, and unlike full-changelings, can feed off love from other halflings thanks to their pony halves.
