I've been writing and selling stories for longer than a lot of folks reading this have been alive. Check Baal Bunny for more!

So let's see:

In non-Pony news, I've got a story that'll be printed next month in volume 27 of Marion Zimmer Bradley's Sword & Sorceress anthology, and one of the other authors involved, Jonathan Moeller, is conducting interviews with as many of us as wanted to do one. He just posted mine yesterday, and you can read it here if you're interested.

As far as Pony goes, I was planning to take a couple weeks off, then start work November 1st on "History: A Romance Continued," the sequel to my nearly-clopless clopfic, "Biology: A Romance." But then, well, following links from some of my favorite writers here to some of their favorites writers, I stumbled across this blog post from TAW detailing a shipping contest he started last month: stories over 10,000 words long that feature a happy ending for "ponies that aren't shipped all that often" with a deadline of Nov. 28th. And while the prizes are some sort of video game, items that are about as useful to me with my weird eyes as the average bicycle is to the average fish, an idea popped into what I laughingly call my head: not just a ship I don't think I'd ever seen done before, but also a perfect reason why these two ponies would end up getting together and the basic outline of the story that would do just that.

So it looks like I may be leaping directly into this thing with an eye toward getting it done before the end of November. Only time will tell, as they say.

Good luck then.

Cool... so whatcha going to do if you win? Defer the prize in lieu of the fame and glory of winning?

Good Luck, and congrats on getting published

Thanks!

I'm already having too much fun with this: On Their Highnesses's Secret Service is the overall title, with Act I being "The Stallion with the Golden Horn." I've already got the "five words" for when I submit it to Equestria Daily, too: "The name's Blueblood. Prince Blueblood."

So I think you can see where I'm going with it...

435882 I like it, Secret AGENT pony! Sounds boss

Congrats on being published. I can look over to my bookshelf right now and see quite a few her books in the the Darkover series so I will be sure to keep an eye out for it. I really enjoyed Biology and the whole premise of what was going on with our darling Fluttershy and wouldn't mind a peek back in to that universe but I am a sucker for off-fannon pairings when an author makes it seem plausible! That story gets my vote for the top of the queue!
