It's really hard to have to tell myself - and my readers - that I can't do a scheduled update. But between stress from trying to get a belated Thanksgiving meal for Mom and me today, it not entirely agreeing with both of us, and everything else that's gone wrong today - not to mention a headache that hasn't left since eating - I hadn't gotten anything written by midnight, and even if I had inspiration right now, trying to write after midnight was part of the problem before.
So...no update for Rock in the Gulch yet. Might make it Wednesday's update instead of writing an off-site update, but nobody hold their breath. We'll just see how this week goes.
Take your time. We love the stories, but not at the expense of the author's health or creativity. Just get some rest, and try to do something fun. I suggest the new Etrian Odyssey 5. It's fun as heck.
*waves it off* Kinda figured that's what happened. No hard feelings. If anything, why not make the whole weekend a break from writing? Sure ONE story will have to go in hiatus until a slot opens up, but having two days back to back with no writing to be done? Sounds a lot like the kind of weekend we had back in High School.
If anything, having both Saturday AND Sunday as pretty much days off from writing might help you more, it might not. Just a suggestion dude.
If you DO decide to make both Saturday and Sunday a "No Writing Day" to unwind, you can use Wednesday to write a single chapter for a random story here on FIMfiction or FF dot net or AO3.
Personally, I thought just having Saturday as a day off from writing was probably a bad idea and you should have had two back to back. That's just my opinion is all.

Although I have always applauded your update schedule and your personal addherence to it, your mental and physical health come first. Your family come first. We can wait as long as you need. You are a gifted writer, but sometimes, you put to much pressure on yourself. Because when I didn’t see the update I just assumed you where taking a break for the holidays. I don’t think any of us will begrudge an author who updates MULTIPLE stories a week, while most can barely manage 1, is as reliable, and gifted, as you, any time you need to emjoy yourself or anything else. I will wait for a good author and you have always been a superb one.
What timezone are you in? Cuz at first when i saw the post i was like ''dafuq you mean sunday update cancelled?! It's monday!''
But anyway take whatever time you need, cuz honestly there are stories of the same quality you put out, that take Way longer to update the story.
So if you need a little break, that's fine with me.

Nobody is going to hold it against you for missing an update. You put out some of the most material on this site at one of the fastest paces. If you are feeling under the weather just leave it at that and as adults we all will understand.
