Assumptions IX: Post-chapter notes

This chapter took me too long to write. Initially, I had how to continue this chapter, especially since the first scene and the last paragraph are essentially the most important things. Otherwise, it's a bit of a filler, really.

Anyway, onto notes:

After seeing the spoilers on EQD, but also after much deliberation, I have decided that this story and my WIP "Demise of Kindness" don't necessarily have to be connected. I want to write Demise anyway, regardless of whether FlutterMac happens or not in this story depends on the Hearts and Hooves Episode. Demise will happen regardless, and could therefore become a sort of AU story within the Assumptions Universe (as in "What would have happened if Fluttershy and Mac did not get together in the end?").

The story is constructed around the episode "The Last Roundup", in case you haven't noticed. I think I'll refrain from using canon too much, except the CheeriMac thing (should that happen). All of the episodes are too summery, and it's really tiring thinking up a story around them.

Also: DERPY!!! Still keeping her a mailmare, but with a cheerful, Forrest Gump-esque disposition. Deal with it! I'm actually surprised I haven't seen a fic like that. It's begging to be written (not by me though). Someone fund it!

In my headcanon, Lyra is a yaoi fangirl. Deal with it!

But, sticking to the episode finally gave me a reason for Rarity to kiss Pinkie Pie: to get her to shut up!

I have my private theory as to why Applejack likes to call everypony "Sugarcube". Let's just say that just because she's a farmer doesn't necessarily mean she only listens to country music.

Next chapter: Maybe on Valentine's, maybe a bit later. I don't like Valentine's Day, but that's just single person's whining. But yeah, I'll have tons of work this semester, but I'll do my best.

Also, thanks to Poptard for making a Tv Tropes page for my fic. It literally made my weekend. Read it and see if you have anything more to add!
