SOME CHAPTER 2 SPOILERS BELOW
This may come off as silly, but I do feel the need to say this.
I'm not a fan of foalcon. And, even in making this story, I have resisted the idea of bringing the Cutie Mark Crusaders in on the action. I mentioned this in my comments a while back. But unfortunately, I have painted myself into a corner. I was intrigued by twisting Applejack's character the way I did in "The Goddess Within," and it became clear to me that I had already Pandora's Box by bringing in Spike and, more infamously, fan favorites Snips and Snails.
So, be warned, Applebloom is gonna get laid in Chapter 2. And I have plans for her friends later on. But I feel extremely dirty right now.

Anyway, the three way between Spike/Snips/Snails is probably considered morally worse, than a three way between the CMC. Simply because gay is less accepted than lesbian.
While I've stated before that the later is not my cup of tea, the fact that one as seen as less moraly objectionable than the other is just plain double standards. (Which is bullshit.)
Say you had Spike be friends with the CMC instead of Snips & Snails, because of what is socialy accepted, it is likely that many of your readers would have been drooling over the scene, instead of 'put off' by it. (Spike screws the CMC instead of Snips/Snails.)
Again, this isn't really anyone's fault except maybe society at large, since this mindset is present around us from day one. This isn't to say nobody's open minded, but I'm going to go out on a limb and assume thats the general layout on public morality at the moment.
As one who read all of 'TGW', I'll say again. Your writing is excellent, even if your subject material is, (for these two stories at least), morally objectionable. I look forward to reading more.

But yeah, you and Spike crossed this bridge a long time ago, then blew it up into a million pieces in the last few chapters. So long as you show them a good a time as he's been having, I don't think anyone will have much problem with it. Hell, I'll be downright pleased as punch if A.J. and Big Mac wind-up helping show their sister the ropes.
Really, who's better qualified? They literally wrote the book on this!
Oh, one last thing. Sorry to disappoint, I'm pretty sure most of us probably will wind-up trying this...
