Hello everyone.
I know this is a little late as I'm sure many of you have alread heard of The Hearth's Warming Care Package, but just in case you haven't, I thought I would share PonIver's wonderful idea with you all. The Care Package is a brony fanfiction charity contest, the winner of which will have their contest submission illustrated, printed, and sent along with a bundle of other gifts to a very deserving fellow fan of the show.
This fan is Kiki Havivy, who many of you have also probably heard of. Kiki is a young pegasister who has been struggling with brain cancer. Her tale has been a driving force behind many brony charities such as music albums used to raise money for her treatment. Although the Care Package will not provide monetary contributions (if you wish, you can donate money directly through the official webpage set up by Kiki's family), it will hopefully provide a message of hope and support from the brony community.

Remember, your submissions should be a short story centered mainly around the Mane Cast (or Kiki's OC, which you can find out about on the press release page). Additionally, they should be written for a younger audience in the style of a children's book. This means no explicit content of any kind, as well as no complex wording or advanced concepts.
I am honored to be a judge in this contest, and I hope all who are interested will take the opportunity to provide a little Hearth's Warming joy to a fellow fan of the show. Remember, however, that my being a judge means I can't know you submitted a story or what the story is about.
