And now, a meta joke · 6:03pm Oct 13th, 2017

The following meta gag is brought to you by a sudden realizatioin from TVtropes and it was a joke I just could not pass up.

At the old mansion where the Umbra Circle rested, Cheerilee lay on her bed reading her new book. It was entitled Starfleet Nemesis, and it was getting to be very interesting. It seems that it was a what if horror story that was passed around the black markets back in the cities to help with the rebellion and released in chapters. Cheerilee was enraptured with the story, plot, and characters and was reading on until she got to one point in the book, "And Sunset, tired from her battle, decided to turn on the tv to watch Starfleet. She was curious about the new writer and the direction it was taking. Turning on the Tv, she saw that the show was showing off it's side character reading a book. Cheerilee was calmly laying on her bed, reading a story to...her...self?"

This gave Cheerilee pause as she stopped reading, and looked up to the sky. Blushing a little, she waved hi to the sky, and chuckled, "What a silly notion."

Reading the book, her eyes opened wide at the next line, "'Cheerilee blushed and waved hi to the sky after reading a surprising page from her book."

"What?!" Cheerilee screamed in shock.

Trixie, dressed in a nightcap, walked in and shook her head, "Cheerilee, what is it?"

"This book, it's describing these mares who are watching a tv show, based on our lives, while I am reading a book, about them watching us," gulped Cheerille. "It's so, weird!"

Trixie sighed, "Look, it's probably coicedence. Whatever this tv show is, it's probably not able to predict everything. Look, Trixie was here just for the joke. But if she were to pick somepony at random that would not make the gag funny."

"Yes," Spark asked, walking by in her nightgown, "You called?"

"Ah, there, see?" Trixie said. "The joke doesn't work because Spark is not funny. So thus, the book would not go through the-"

"Effort of bringing her in," Cheerilee finished Trixie's sentance, making her drop her mug in shock.

"And cut!" Legendbringer said, putting away his megaphone and smiling up a storm, "That wwas beautiful."

Miss Olive looked up from her book and turned to Legendbringer, "Um, mr. director, isn't this a little too meta for the show?"

"Yes, it is, that's why this is something that is only for the DVD release," Legend said, putting down his megaphone. "You know how it goees. Sometimes we directors make gag reels or something silly for the fans to encourage them to buy the dvd release! You know, like how the previous writer and showrunner released that whole special edition of the 1st season."

Kat Barr shook her head, "Yeah that made the first season better. Anyway, what is the next scene?"

"Well, let's see," Legendbringer brought up his script, "Dream sequence."
