Cancer and FanFiction Update · 7:24pm Oct 11th, 2017
It's been a little bit since my last blog update hasn't it?
To make a long story short, I've been dealing with my cancer and getting rounds of chemotherapy to fight it. So far, I've had three treatments and things are looking generally positive so far. I've been having an easier time swallowing food again, so it seems like the tumor in my esophagus is shrinking. My oncologist is positive about how things are going so far, but has decided to give me another three rounds of treatment before we do a fresh scan to see what the state of the tumors are.
So expect a fresh update on the cancer situation sometime in mid November, but I'm feeling optimistic at the moment.
On the fanfic side, writing continues. I know that my Skitchverse fans have probably been feeling a little neglected as of late while I chase other projects. Part of that has come down to me feeling kind of stuck on what to do with the 'verse in general. But I think that I have an idea on how to shake things up a little, by switching what the next fic I'll be doing in the 'verse is. The Historical LARP fic will come later, but in the meantime, Skitch will be taking a trip through a certain reflecting device.
The next Rainsverse fic also continues to be written and will be focusing on Lightning Dust and her attempts to rebuild the Everfree Rangers after the events of When it Rains.
Blood and Ponies continues to close in on its end point, as does A Tale of Two Trixies. Assuming that I don't die of cancer, these fics will get done, I promise.
All of these fics I'm trying to write to completion before we start uploading again. I want to have a nice long stretch of things to upload by the end of the year.
Anyway, keep your eyes on this space for a disease update in November and more fics come December. Till next time!
This is good news all-around!
I'll agree about why we stopped working on the Skitchverse, though: Reaching the point of, "Cool. Now what?" I think I went into this a bit with my not-review of When It Rains, but it was tangential, at best.
Stay in good spirits and focus on getting cancer-free.
That sounds positive, I hope things stay that way for you. I could not even imagine what it would be like going through what your going through. Thank you for the all your stories and hope to see more from you in the future.
Good to hear hints are going well for you.
