Yukito's Yellow Nuzlocke is the longest day... - Day #12

Darogh's journey picked up from where had left off. Exiting the Silph Co. tower and resting up, Darogh made for the Saffron City Pokémon Gym, where he would take on an assortment of pyschics and channelers. Here, Phat Beatz received the training that he needed to catch up with the rest of the team, except against the ghosts that were for reasons unknown also there.

Yuki's Nuzlocke Yellow takes a turn - Day #3 · 7:59pm Sep 15th, 2017

Rested up and ready for adventure, the dream team set off, Belle-chan ready and eager to grind up that experience! Her first opponent was a tasty treat and through her efforts, Belle-chan learned Wrap! With the cheese move learned, she was well on her way to becoming a mean Pokémon killing machine.

Her next opponent threw out a Rattata. A mesely Rattata, whose Quick Attack barely left a dent! Darogh was concerened that he was pushing Belle-chan too much, but this Rattata had barely harmed her at all, so he decided that his fears were unfounded. "Belle-chan, Wrap!"

However, Belle-chan stumbled over a rock in the ground and missed her attack. The Rattata saw his chance, and used Hyper Fang. It was a critical hit! Darogh watched, mortified, as the blood gushed out of poor Belle-chan's neck. Belle-chan fell over to the ground, writhing, and then, she stopped...

The team suffered its first casualty. Darogh wept, his precious little Belle-chan - who was going to achieve great things! - dead. The King put a paw on Darogh's shoulder, offering him a single look that said, "I will avenge her death."

The Rattata quaked in fear as the imposing King Urple towered over it. The King lifted his right foot, and stomped on the little mouse, crushing it without mercy. The trainer's next Pokémon was sent into orbit by The King's Mega Punch, and Darogh collected his money from the murderous beast in human clothing.

His spirits down, but not broken, Darogh proceeded, now more eager to raise Drk Mousey than before - his backup was dead, and none of his other Pokémon were suited for this Gym! In particular, he had heard stories of Misty's Starmie... Stories that would make even Cunt quiver in his obnoxious boots.

Darogh stopped by Bill's house and restored the nerd from his Pokémon form, brought about by playing with forces beyond our mortal coil. Darogh had respect for the man. He received a ticket to the S. S. Anne for his troubles. Perhaps a cruise would help him to forget what he had lost.

Returning to Cerulean City, Darogh returned to the Pokémon Center to bury the deceased Belle-chan. Oh well, can't wallow forever. Moving right along!

Darogh entered the Gym and dominated the two trainers riding Misty's coat-tails. They were nothing to be feared, but Misty... Darogh readied himself, and engaged her in battle. As expected, the first Staryu put up some resistance, but it was defeated swiftly.

"Now, feast your eyes on my Starmie!" Misty declared, unleashing the Pokémon feared by many rookie trainers. Misty started by bolstering its defence with an X-Defend, and Drk Mousey paralyzed it with a Thundershock! Another Thundershock weakend it futher, and the Starmie was unable to move due to its paralysis.

"This cannot be!" Misty screamed. "Starmie, use Harden!" she ordered, much to Darogh's delight. Bolstering its defence against a special user?

"Yes, you just keep pushing that square through that triangle hole," Darogh said, and ordered Drk to zap it once more. That Starmie fainted, having not landed even a single hit on Drk Mousey. Truly, this was the work of the Helix, rewarding Darogh for battling through his grief of losing Belle-chan.

With the Cascade Badge in-hand, Darogh wandered into some lady's house and obtained a Bulbasaur. A Bulbasaur. Hah! What, is this your compensation Grass-type for having lost Belle-chan? This little thing will never replace Belle-chan in Darogh's heart! In fact, Darogh proved this by dubbing the Pokémon Not Belle!

After storming out of the confused lady's house, Darogh left Cerulean City by wandering through some guy's house that had been burgled and stepping through the hole that had been made in his wall. Natrually. There, he battled a long Rocket and obtained the TM for Dig.

Heading south, Darogh encountered a Jiggylpuff and captured it, adding Blimple to the box, probably never to see the light of day again. Heading through the underground passage, Darogh emerged outside of Vermillion City and headed down, switching Krapfish to the front to gain some experience. Along the way, Darogh encountered an Abra. He threw a Great Ball at it, but it failed. However, Helix was not finished offering its blessings yet, as the Abra's Teleport had failed, too! Darogh threw a regular Pokéball, and caught that Abra! David Blay was also sent to the box, a possible candidate to be added to the team later.

After crushing the trainers outside of Vermillion City, Darogh headed inside and rested at the Pokémon Center. Looking over his team, Darogh constructed his new dream team for the time-being. Drk Mousey and King Urple went without saying. Podders stayed for now as his status-inducing moves could be useful. OK For Now could also prove useful against Ereka, as could Sally Mndr. The sixth spot was taken by Krapfish, who was kept at the front of the party.

The only problem, Darogh saw, was that only Drk and King Urple were sufficently levelled. And so, Darogh booked a room at the Pokémon Center, and readed himself for a long, hard day of training. His team were going to need all the experience they could get. Belle-chan was proof of that, if nothing else.
