Cry for Eternity - an explanation and apology. · 4:24am Sep 15th, 2017
I'm going to keep this short, because rehashing my regrets is about the last thing I need right now.
Most of my readers weren't satisfied with the ending. The truth is, neither was I, but I published it anyway.
I did it because I needed closure. I had no job, no money, no insurance, no social life, and thought about suicide on an almost hourly basis. I was literally teetering o the edge, but the story was pinning me down. I didn't want to leave it unfinished; I just wasn't ready to die with it unfinished, and I needed the closure. For some strange reason, a stupid fanfic was the only thing really keeping me grounded, and I just needed it gone.
While I (obviously) never went through with it, having nothing holding me back from offing myself gave me a strange sort of peace.
So I spat out something that wasn't worth publishing. And I'm sorry.
You guys deserved better.
It was a great story. Now just focus on making things better for yourself.
Second what the last guy said. The story was fine , great even. But that's not important. Take care of yourself, alright?
The ending felt a bit abrupt, sure, but it was by no means bad. If you ask me, it didn't impact enjoyment of the story at all.
I liked Cry for Eternity, I still like it, it was worth my time to read, and I do not regret reading it one bit. I got my drama, I got my sad, and despite everything, I still got my happily ever after.
What more could I have possibly wanted?
So fix it.
Wonderful thing about it being online and not on paper, no?

Yes, this.
I don't think so, since writing it seems to have kept you alive. That seems like a pretty good deal to me as a reader. Way better than any ending to a story. I'll take my author not dying over that any day dude. :)

I wholeheartedly agree. A bit abrupt but by no means bad.
I hope your problems have been resolved atleast partially in the meantime--if not, please take care and good luck on that.
I enjoyed the whole ride - all of it!
But then, I might be biased.
Hope you see this one day man. I loved cry for eternity when i first read it years ago. I plan on reading it again soon. I hope you're still with us and doing great.
I just read the story for the first time. Regardless of the ending it was a incredible story. I know you wrote this years ago but just know I'm a fan of your amazong pony story.
