Not Review/Random Rambling...thing NAS

Twilight: *breaks a marble in half for science*  Look, I turned one marble into two marbles!

Rarity: You can’t just change one into two Twilight!  Otherwise cats and dogs are going to get gaymarried!

And here I was worried I wouldn’t like this new MLP parody.  NAS (formally known as MAS) is a new take/direction from Dawn Somewhere Productions.  I was a huge fan of MAS for it’s high concept humor, very dark tones and overly cynical views.  With NAS, we were promised a more simple take.  The ponies are cuter, nicer and…well dumber.

While this combination had me hesitant, thinking that the humor would suffer, I’m thrilled to say it hasn’t!  The humor is still high concept (I’m really not sure if that’s a real term or if I just made it up o.O) and surprisingly the dark humor still sneaks in.  We had burning at the stake jokes, choking on marble jokes and a personal favorite, child labor jokes!

As with all parodies, this isn’t for everyone,  But, if you liked MAS, I say go into it with an open mind, know there is change from the old parody, just don’t fear it!  Just like you shouldn’t fear medication hidden in your food…okay wait, that last part didn’t make since…
