Alright, so here's what I've come up with so far:
The charity I've selected is the Midwest Horse Welfare Foundation. I'll put up links and stuff this weekend when I can set aside a bit more time for this project. I'm not affiliated with this charity in any way; I've researched them and accounts of what they do, and I've been pleased from what I've seen so far. The most important thing is that all the money will go towards care for their horses, who are all rescues.
I'll be taking screenshots as proof you've donated. I'll put an email account up where you can send the screenshot, or you can just message me here on FiM with it.
Your donations will be rewarded with small stories/chapters: the larger the donation, the more I'll write for you. I'm not going to put a strict deadline on the return quite yet. After every 100$ or so I see donated, I'll do a raffle or a contest for prizes. What will these prizes be? I don't know yet, but you're free to make suggestions.
The theme of this year's charity story will be a carnival. This means that you can choose to have whatever character you submit act on their own to experience the sights and sounds, or you can have your character meet friends or complete strangers. Anything is possible and you may submit any character you desire: I'll find a way to work it in.
This charity event will run for a month or two, depending on interest.
My goal is going to be modest: let's say $500.
This weekend I'll put out a more solid post describing what I had in mind, but for now I wanted to share with everyone what my ideas were and what to look forwards to this year, and how I'll go about it. Thanks for any and all interest, and I appreciate any feedback or thoughts.
Sounds good to me. A carnival is certainly a change of pace from the last two.
Sounds interesting.
