Progress has slowed down of late as I've shifted focus to The Lawyer and The Unicorn. I know I said I was looking at a mid-month release, but I think at this point it would be far more appropriate to launch the next book on September 1st, which is date the war begins in the story... and when WWII began, for that matter. Yes, that's more than a coincidence.
The publish plan remains the same: five chapters plus a bonus or two will be loaded and ready for launch, supported by battle and campaign maps so the war can be followed visually. There will also be an advertising blitz consisting of the Gryphon war declaration and chapter teasers in the self-promotion and war groups. If I can find the time, I'd also like to make service and rank insignias for both sides, but unfortunately, I'm not a good enough artist to manage that quickly or easily. If anyone knows of a good artist willing to help for a nominal fee, please let me know.
As things stand now, the gryphon war declaration is written and first three story chapters are ready to go, with significant parts of two more written. The prologue and first two chapters will be released on day one, followed by a single chapter releases daily after that until I run out. I'm hoping to generate a big enough rush from returning readers and new ones to break into the featured box, so when it comes out, don't be shy about reading and generating some heat, folks!

Now for unsolicited advice. Don't dump all the chapters at once. One to two if you have a prologue, then daily if you want to keep hitting the update section.
