I see too many bits and pieces gathering dust in the archives that were last updated as far back as 2012 and still listed as unfinished, so your confession is refreshing. Thank you for admitting that a story idea just wouldn't go where you wanted it to and from your present perspective there is no satisfying way of advancing it. Happens to all of us in life sometimes. You've proven many times over that when you can make a story work it is well worth me taking the time to read it so you were wise to give these a decent farewell and move on.
