Deities of AssassinationVerse: Centarus, The God of Centaurs · 4:51pm Jul 27th, 2017

5. Centarus, God of Centaurs

There is no Race God more hated then Centarus. Nobody, not even his creations, love him and with many good reasons. While you will never find an outright “evil” god among the Pantheon, you can find one who is selfish, greedy, enviously, spiteful, and downright rotten. Centarus, even at his earliest moments of creation, was jealous of the other gods who got more favor from the Creator Gods such as Septum Cain and Fausticorn. He sought to create a face of beings who would be in his exact image, but strong, aggressive, and loyal only to him. Such an ego he had he named them after himself: The Centaurs. Having a personal interaction with his creators, he forced them to worship and please him and only him. He told them they were destined to rule over all and he would reward them with various rewards such as riches, immortality, and more. In truth, Centarus didn’t feel the need to do anything with his creations but use them for his own gain. He didn’t even give them a soul; thus no afterlife would be given to those who died; not even to those who convert to other faiths. They were doomed to live, die, and become nothing upon death.

Centarus trained the centaurs in warfare, military strategy, dark magic, and science personally, rather than let them grow on their own. Their culture was dedicated only to him, both in fear and hope that they would be rewarded upon pleasing him. Celebrations were dedicated to him, idols and churches, and even sacrifices if he found certain centaurs displeasing or dare challenge his rule. All were trained to be military, with little in the ways of education, medicine, and so forth. If it could not be used to further the power or advancement of their people it was to be discredited. Centarus also refused to have them interact with other races, which he deemed weak and they were to be destroyed. When he felt he had the power and army to concern his fellow gods and goddess, he struck for the first creatures that were in their path to global conquest: The Ponies of Equestria.

The war was long and bloody, with the centaurs gaining the early wins in the war due to their advance forms of fighting and overzealous loyalty to their God. The land of Equestria were filled with fire and corpses as they struggled to hold on. Fausticorn, fearing for her creations, pleaded with the Creator Gods for help and, in disgust for Centarus’ actions, answered her prayers with a warrior from another universe: Saint Megan. Although her species name and her home planet is lost to history, her deeds are not. With the power of her holy sword, armor, and rainbow powers she was able to turn the tide of the war and lead the ponies into victory. One of the critical flaws that was found out was that the centaurs didn’t adopt to new ideas or tactics, but repeated the same thing repeatedly due their misguided loyalty and fear of displeasing Centarus. Defeated, they retreated to their lands hoping their god would not punish them so.

Centarus, however, was facing problems of his own. Outraged that he was defeated, he demanded the Creator Gods allow him to destroy his own creation and restart anew. However, the Creator Gods had enough of Centarus and punished him by sending him into the Void, the closest thing to hell for a god where he lies still today. The centaurs soon realized their god had abandoned them, and they soon spoke of his name only in hatred instead of fear. They pleased with all the other gods to save them, but since they were doomed to have no souls there was nothing they could do. This helped curve the centaurs into adapting into a firm atheistic and anti-faith society that forbidden all religions and worship in their lands under harsh penalties. Be it out of spite for the gods or others who have souls, is a debate still issued today. The centaurs had to restart their culture, developing into one of harshness and cold view on life, knowing that no afterlife awaited them and no god could help them. As for Centarus, he still lies in the Void with no pity from anyone.

Standing With Other Gods: Every God, both Creator and Race, hate him for his actions and his behavior. This is given back the same in return.

Looks: Think Tirek but covered in golden armor, bigger horns, six legs, and four arms with three eyes; one being in the forehead.

Religious Structure: Originally, his form of worship was similar to the way North Koreans worship and obey the Kim family. In many aspects, his society is based on North Korea while after his imprisonment in the void it became much like the USSR only with a monarchy and anti-religious society as well.

Afterlife: Because centaurs have no souls, and continue to do so, they have no afterlife. They cannot even join other afterlives.

That's fucked up.

I like it.

Damn, centaurs got the short end of the stick here...

Wow not even Faust would help. That strikes me as odd if they turned to her that she didn't help them out and find a way to give them souls.

In a way, this falls in line with Greek mythology in that Centaurs and Sayters don't have souls but instead when they die they reincarnat into something like a flower or anything from nature

This is just my opinion now, but I have to say, I'm not really big on the name. Why not change it to Chiron or Nessus?

I wanted him to be egotistical. What bigger way to do that then to name your creation sort of after your own name?

Fun fact, their is a Greek god named Centaurus who is regarded as the father/creator of Centaurs
