Since I got a PM the other day, as well as some comments, asking if I was ever going to finish Star Trek: Pegasus, I'm just going to copy/paste my reply into a blog here:
I don't want to give any undue hope that I'm suddenly going to be getting back to this at any point in the near future or anything, but... yeah, I feel the same way. I hate starting fics (or anything else, for that matter) and then having them peter out unfinished, and I said as much in my author's notes for Quandary of DisQord. And now, I feel even worse having done it myself. I haven't completely given up on it and may come back to it some day, but again, fair warning, don't hold your breath on that.
I was actually planning to rewatch all of MLP:FiM in the next weeks/months/however long it takes, including everything after season four or so, where I kind of dropped off watching, up to the current stuff, so maybe that'll inspire me to get back to this? I don't know. Again, I don't want to unfairly get anyone's hopes up or anything.
So, yeah... I'm not dead yet. I haven't completely given up on Star or the Pegasus... but, as I said there, it'll be somewhere in the far-flung, nebulous future before I do get back to this. So don't anybody go dying of asphyxiation while waiting on me or anything. >_>;
I have the faith in you coming back to this grate story.
Boy do I know how that feels. Do what you can, but you haven't been forgotten.

When I saw this in my feed I felt my heartbeat pick up noticeably.
Of course I was not at all surprised by the message. After a long time of no activity It would actually have been a shock to me if suddenly you had started working on it again. But one can never give up hope!
Thank you for the amazing content you have given us already! I owe much of my initial enjoyment of MLP to you, and I cannot express how much joy your stories have given me!
In fact, since I first read your stories, I have been slowly (and against many distractions) creating my own Star Trek Pony stories that I had been planning to base on your stories. Your stories of First Contact are so good I don't feel I could do them anymore justice, so I've been thinking I'd just roll with them. My ideas have nothing to do with Star Strider, and I'd try to mostly adhere to your canon.
