…I'm on hiatus, obviously.
I haven't been motivated to write fanfiction lately. I feel like it's a habit I need to break out of, and that if I attempt it again, I will find it difficult to write original stories for months. I have no idea if that's true, but it's hard to shake that feeling.
And having my magnum opus be about Obama and ponies finally got to me. I realized that probably put me on a list somewhere, and it was a pretty embarrassing list to boot.
I will set a hard deadline. If I haven't released anything by the end of the year, I will post everything I have, and explain how the Obamaverse would have ended. If someone else wants to continue the series with those notes, that will be fine. I may make a group, so all the information relating to the series is in one place.
Thank you for your support, everyone.
I apologize to everyone that found me through There Is No Luna, and followed me under the impression that I was ever going to write anything like that again :p
Well this day started with some bad news. Dumbasses in the comment section (shocking) and now this?
Don't push to try to get some output as that makes for bad quality. If fanfiction is not interesting right now, is there something else you like to write about? Perhaps binging some ponies might get you in the seat again or simply a longer break will do the trick - motivation is a fickle mistress.
Embrace the embarassment, make it your bitter coal and burn it in your heart.
Or ignore it, that works too!
I think it would be rather anti-climactic to have you just say how it was supposed to end, if you do decide to quit I would suggest asking if someone wants to take it up before releasing everything you have. Though I can't imagine anyone writing this better than you.
I'm confident that your cult will have no issues if it takes a very long time - there are stories that have gotten back on track here after a year or more of hiatus so there is still hope I would think.
I'd love for you to continue the story at your own pace, but (sadly) I can't force you. :)
Your stories tickle me in all the right places. I would hate to see them and you go.
So, how are you doing? (Not with writing progress, but in general.)

Not brilliant. But it's easier to write Obamaverse when things are not brilliant.
There will be at least one more chapter soon.
Probably won't switch writers. Timeline too convoluted. Lots of personal feelings influence the mood. I think me posting WIPs/summaries would honestly be more satisfying.
If it's any consolation, I think some of the final plot twists are good enough they would make rereading the series very rewarding even if I just plainly said them.
Either that, or they will irritate you, and make you think, "That's a twist? I figured that out ages ago."
We'll see somehow, though :p
