Trotcon 2017! or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Fandom. · 4:05am Jul 18th, 2017
Hello Everypony!
(Wait, I sec, I am actually blogging! )
So, two years in the fandom. Two wonderful years as a brony. I got to say it has been a fun time and has completely change who I am. But no sense on beating around the bush. Let me talk about my second time going to Trotcon!
So, last year I went to my first con which was in my home state of Ohio, Trotcon 2016. After being a brony for approximately a year, it had occurred to me that I want to go to a con. It was at the last minute and spur of the moment. But I didn't regret it! For it was the most fun I had that year! But after an ill-timed sickness, poor transportation planning, and the fact that I was doing this without any prior knowledge, I had figure a better plan to enjoy this year without nearly killing myself. It was also last year that I vow to take my brother (who is a fellow brony) to this con. So, yes I want to take someone to enjoy this con with me. I knew he would have fun.
So, yeah, Trotcon 2017 was AWESOME! Here are the highlights!
Friday:
-Cosplay as the Ninth Doctor!
-Participate in the Quick Fic with Robcakeran53 and Admiral Biscuit! It gave me a great idea for a story. Actually got to shake hands with Rob and Admiral Biscuit. Won a Discord Guardian of Harmony toy! Hooray!
-Did Guess the episode. My team won although it was very, very close. But man, it was fun!
-Opening Ceremony!
-Participate in Karaoke. I didn't think that was possible without alcoholic.
Saturday:
-Cosplay as Blackjack!
-I went to Fire Team Harmony Panel!
-Also went to MA Larson and GM Berrow's pannel. That was fun!
-Did the Cosplay contest!
-Went to the Fallout Equestria Panel!
-Dance!
Sunday:
-Went to RWBY meet up!
-Did some shopping. Bought Fallout Equestria the third edition print! It is my most precious item now!
-Went to the Doctor Who meet up just as they announce the Thirteenth Doctor.
-Went to the Brony Critic's World Building panel.
-Also told my joining the heard story.
Anyway, all in all, I had a great time. Cannot wait for next year!
