Hello everyone. I know, I know. It's been a very long time. Way longer than I ever wanted. For which I apologize.
A long story short, my mother got breast cancer some time ago and that basically killed any interest I had in writing Mirror's Image. It's not fun writing a story about losing family when your mother is suffering from such a terrible disease and you can't do anything to help.
But as time passed, I got back my drive to write somewhat. It's still not all there but I at least managed to finish chapter 24. For those that are still interested, it'll come out after the editors fix it up.

First off, your mother will be fine. It may suck for a while for her, but she will come back strong, if she hasn't started to already.
Secondly, I have (not-so) patiently awaited the next chapter, and can wait as long as it takes. I don't give up on fics that I really like, so you don't have to worry about me losing interest.

Yeah. She's pretty much cured now but her self esteem took a serious hit. But even that is getting better day by day. It'll just take more time.

Well, tell her that she can tell people she fought cancer and won. Or something to that effect. Affirming someone that they beat some hardship that was happening to them is always a good way to raise morale. Say something like "Come on, you just beat cancer. You should be excited and proud." and then deconstruct any excuses she has to not be proud of herself in a way that isn't super condescending or rude.

I'm glad your mom is okay. It's a miracle when someone gets and then is able to beat it. Tell her to stay strong and don't falter.

I just stumbled across your story today, and I am very sad to learn the reason it never got continued. No one deserves to experience that, and I hope you got through it okay at the time.
I won't urge you to continue the story after all this time, but I did wish to tell you how much what you did publish impacted. I did not expect much just from the cover image and description, but the characters were so perfectly on-point and immersive... I found myself laughing, I found myself crying, and the story nearly tore my heart out like I remember extremely few stories doing over the course of my life. Even if you never do conclude the tale you were meaning to tell... you did extremely well with what you did. I cannot praise it highly enough. If you ever decide to write something else, I will be more than happy to read it.
Whenever you come back, if ever you come back, we'll be waiting as patiently as the day you left. And if you don't, we'll still remember what an amazing story you crafted.
So are you gonna do a sequel? Or just you dont have the time to write like before?
