Something I Find Odd

So, I have 83 followers, right?

Chances are, at least five of them are because of my stories. But that still leaves 78.

There are also high chances that 10 of them are because I added their stories to my shelves, but that is still 68.

So why, then, do my reviews, on average, get a view count of 40?

It's just something I find interesting.

Oh, and I have been slacking more than I'd like on getting more of those reviews out. Sorry.

Followers don't translate to views—most check if they're interested, but otherwise they'll skim by. Think of followers as a case of "I may be interested in looking at this" rather than a one-to-one case of follower equals a view.

I have ~750 followers (I think?), but only get about 50-200 views per Being a Better Writer post, depending on the topic.

Whatmakes you want to read something you see in your feed? Maybe try adding pictures possibly the covver art of the fics you reviewing?

Well, at least one of the views is me clicking on and then bookmarking all your review posts.

Churn. I've got over 1000 followers and anywhere between 150-450 views on my average blog post. I've also been accumulating followers for five years and a large number have just straight-up left the site.

Also, I think it only counts a view if they click through from your feed rather than skimming it without clicking.

(Also, this is the first time I've opened my feed in weeks. I wanted to burn 500+ notifications so I could start reading fimfic again without being intimidated by the notification numbers.)

I suppose it changes a lot as your account gets older. Also, check your feed more often, lest I insult mention you without your knowledge .
