Hasbro's Big 2 Part 1: Transformers 5 · 4:30am Jun 21st, 2017
Certainly a lot better than what we got from "Age of Extinction." Though it's an enjoyable kind of crazy, the middle of the film when they're in London gets wild for even a Transformers scenario.
We get reunited with some old Autobots and almost an entirely new list of Decepticons (outside of Megatron, only Barricade and Onslaught are the ones fans will know best.). The only new Autobot fans will remember is Hot Rod, here having a French accent (or so we think; he says he doesn't like it.). Playing alongside Anthony Thompkins' character is a robot butler voiced by Jim Carter (thought it was John Rhys-Davies; the voice sounded very similar) that is just f*cking hilarious.
Taking a nod from Transformers: Prime, Earth is Unicron. And with Quintessa and Megatron still loose, I'm assuming we've reached the Unicron Trilogy (I'm saying this now in case we get a seven).
Still, it's an enjoyable film to watch. And now I shall wait for two and a half months for Hasbro's next theatrical release: one that is colorful, fuzzy, and equid.
