The Rainsverse Expands! · 3:17am Jun 15th, 2017
While I've been plugging away at new stories and chapters, we've had someone else jump into the Rainsverse with a story!
Void Knight has begun to spin a tale set after When it Rains, where our friendly neighborhood baroness meets a pair of travelling sales stallions, displaying their amazing automated device that will make everypony's lives easier!

Awesome, and congratulations on your universe expanding! I certainly liked When it Rains, so I'll check this one out too. I got an idea or two bouncing around in my head for the Rainverse too, which if I ever can clear up some of my writing cue I might be able to expand upon myself.

It'll happen eventually to be sure. I was thinking of focusing on expanding the Solar Prelate. I remember Blueblood was briefly mentioned in the opening chapters as a visiting delegate from there. My idea revolves around the idea of Blueblood, while on the surface being the same basic dandy we recall from the show, is actually one of Celestia's "Knights Persona", which is a fancy term for a James Bond styled spy and special agent. Perhaps he actually witnessed the fight between Sombra and Chroma, and after the events of When it Rains and Blueblood returns to the Prelate, Celestia tasks him with putting together a team to investigate ways to actively combat the threat of the other alicorns returning. That's the basic premise I want to build from.

I like this idea. The divided kingdoms are one of this setting's big distinguishing features, so I really think we should make sure to do stories that bring out the other realms besides the Heartlands. I've been considering doing a story focused on Trixie and the Lunar Kingdom, probably as this setting's Boast Busted equivalent.

Agreed, the idea of various splinter kingdoms forming from the Equestria of old is one of the most interesting aspects of the Rainverse, and it'd be cool to see those other nations expanded upon. Its also kind of a cool story framework if each set of stories from different authors focuses on each nations individual efforts to deal with the returning alicorn Mane6. I'm not sure what Greyguard's plans are of course for which alicorns will return and when, but it'd be cool if each nation had to deal with different ones.
Anyway, for Blueblood's team I was considering using some of Twilight's friends from Amending Fences. Not Moon Dancer, because in my head she might've moved off to Luna's kingdom, but maybe I'd use Minuette, Lemon Hearts, and Twinkleshine as agents Blueblood recruits for his team. Considering also tossing in Gilda as some wandering griffin mercenary.
