I’d say I’m about a third-way done with the first draft. I will try to have it uploaded by the end of the month. Unfortunately, I have to balance this with work and running a D&D campaign on the weekends. However, I am getting a couple paragraphs down every night or so.
I don’t plan on introducing Luna into the story immediately. I would, however, appreciate suggestions on how to do that. Here are some ideas my editor and I have come up with so far...
1. Luna senses the chaotic dreams of our mysterious human and slowly zeroes in on him.
2. After recovering most of her power and developing her modern vernacular to a modest degree, Luna goes out to explore Equestria. She eventually crosses paths with the human and interaction ensues.
3. They are introduced through either one of the Mane 6 or when Celestia inevitably decides to check out this odd creature.
I say a focus on 2 with elements of 1 and 3.
