Blind Benefits -- Don't Need Surgery! · 8:03pm Jun 6th, 2017

hOI!!!!

I didn't want to post anything until after I officially heard about what had been making my right eye all yucky for the past two months. Turns out it was, yet another, tube exposure!

Historically an exposed tube would mean I'd need surgery coupled with over a week of recovery along with additional medications to aid in the healing process. However, as I have no sight to save, this was far from what happened.

In the span of less than 15 minutes the exposed tube was identified, I was given an injection to numb the ocular surface, and the doctor just 'amputated' it. I was then sent on my way to only continue using an anti-biotic eyedrop and have a brief follow-up appointment next week.

Having to return to Pittsburgh isn't exactly on my "To Do" list but avoiding surgery, recovery time, and extra medication is beyond worth it. Furthermore the tube is completely gone and will no longer be rejected by my body. Therefore this exposed tube will never be exposed again.

Just felt like giving this the 'thumbs up' it deserves! I saw your recent post on Anti-Depression Bronies and you just seem like a cool guy.
Glad this all worked out at least- dealing with surgery is never fun.
Cheers!

Is it sad that a blind person can write better than 90% of people I've seen on the internet?

And what do you mean by 'tube'?

Since I literally just found this page how do you write while being blind?

Same here. Writing stories while being blind is completely crazy, but just as awesome!

I think its one of the nerves that let you see

Huh. I was just thinking of this person and couldn't remember their name.

So haopy for you keep it up!

I was wondering myself how you write in spite of being blind. Do you use a Braille keyboard?

Are you 100% blind?
