    Delays and Requests

    Ohai there fellows. Good to see you again.

    To cut a long story short: due to life being life, the second act of P&P will be ever so slightly delayed. Maybe 2 weeks to start coming out or something. Sorry about that!

    >MFW...

    ...The laptop that has been insanely reliable for two years now, and hasn't crashed on me once, actually does crash when I'm in the middle of my writing flow.

    ...

    Thankfully, I seem to have only lost around 2,000 words.

    On the other hand... I lost 2,000 words.

    It's coming.

    It's taken far longer than it should have, and I've had to change so damn much just to get the first chapter(s) actually decent enough to make anybody want to read the rest.

    But, at long last, it's all coming together.

    What a Christmas present for me: Live Reading of 'Endure'

    This was a nice thing to find waiting for me on Christmas Eve morning!

    The Living Library Player Society looks to have done a bumper crop of live readings of fics, and that old 'Endure' story of mine that I'd pretty much forgotten about by this point was one of them!

'Endure' followup · 12:40am Oct 6th, 2012

In line with my previous pledge to do a followup blog post after I complete each story, Here's one on 'Endure'.

Honestly, I don't have that much to say for this one. It never really started out as an idea for a story at all; just one day, my brain threw out "hey, you should blow up Equestria," and I was like, "Mmmkay".

I wrote up the first draft for 'Endure' in about an hour, and promptly sent it off to my pet artist (Known as 'Ocean_Mist', 'Laberoon' and 'Braeburn' depending on which site you're on) for him to make me yet another beautiful (read: acceptable) cover image.

Then I left it. For about two months.

See, 'Endure' took form right around when I was doing the second chapter of 'Everypony Loves Rainbow'. When that hit EQD, I decided that I'd concentrate on getting ELR finished before publishing anything else. I hoped to have it completed within a few weeks.

Boy was I overestimating my capabilities.

I won't go into detail, but basically a crapton of mess at my workplace, followed by moving into university and getting all set up there, took a fair amount of my time up. Add to that my general laziness and some passive gaming, and you've got a recipe for absence.

I finally got around to remembering about that whole writing thing I like to do, and thought I'd get myself back on the horse (pun intended) by polishing up a story I had in reserve, sending it to a pre-reader (Known as 'Silent', he is another of my many pets), and then pushing it on you all as a sort-of reintroduction.

That said, I'd like to think that this means I'll be doing the next chapter of ELR sometime soon. From what I've planned, there should be two more chapters, and maybe an optional epilogue/alternate ending if i'm feeling really kind.

So, what shall I be doing after ELR concludes? Hard to say, really. I'm going to do my best to force myself to write some more, and I've got a fair number of ideas lined up to encourage myself. Here's a list of what's running through my brain at the moment:

>A four-fic series, tentatively titled 'A Frigid Mind', which has been essentially a fully-developed but unpenned script for quite some time now;
>A needlessly dramatic fic about Twilight having to kill somepony;
>A ponification of 'Fear and Loathing', which I've been thinking about for ever;
>A story about Twilight eating veal.

So pray to whatever force you believe in that at least some of those ideas see the light of day. I know I will be.
