Status Update: Yes, I'm Still Here! · 10:59am May 18th, 2017
Hey, long time no see!
I figured it would be a good idea to give a quick update on where I'm at with my current projects. I've been quiet for a while because I've recently brought a very young puppy into my home, and looking after and training her is taking up nearly all of my free time. Nevertheless, I do still intend to complete all of the things I've detailed in previous blog posts.
Exchange's Third Bonus Chapter - I am 100% ready to start writing this once things calm down with the pup. "What? You haven't even started!?" you ask. Yes, I know it sounds bad, but this one's a little more involved than you'd initially think. It required a lot of backstory to be written, as well as the design and mapping of several new locations, all of which has been done. The story map itself is also complete. When I actually start typing away at it, it'll be done very, very quickly. I'm using the same method to write it as I did with "Homemade Kites and Whatnot", and the benefit to that method is that all the writer's block moments are front-loaded, making the actual writing process a relative breeze. I expect it'll be as big as, or a little bigger than the first bonus chapter when it's complete.
Exchange's Physical Version - A while back I completed the first of 3 editing passes for the physical version, and the result is the updated edition you see on Fimfic. I've decided that before I tackle Exchange's book, I'm going to produce a combined volume of Pirate Hats + Homemade Kites. This will serve as a test for me to iron out the bugs in the production process. Also, I really love those stories and would like a physical copy for myself! It'll be easy to do since unlike any of my other work, "Kites" was written in prose from the start. There's far less work to do to get it into publishing shape, so doing this test will not delay Exchange's book all that much.
The pupper's getting bigger and better trained every day, so I'm hopeful I can finish all of these projects by the end of summer or early fall. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, don't hesitate to reach out. I'll be happy to answer.

Is there anything that'll change in the story right now/will I have to reread anything for non-remembering purposes?

Once I've verified that the test copy is of good quality, I'll post the details on how to get one. It'll also be a good test of how easy it will be for people to get their hands on Exchange's hardcover when it's ready.
