So I'm writing again... · 4:04am May 11th, 2017
This time it's a offshoot of The Moon In The Dark by Tatsurou titled The Moon In The Dark: Alt-Endings and Doomed Detours in which different paths or decisions are made that deviate from the original story, as the title implies. There's only 3 chapters published currently, but there are several others I'm working on.
Honestly I like the setup of this a bit more than usual simply because none of them happen in any particular order, which lets me make 'New Chapters' with an Outline in it to remind me of an idea for another Alt that I can work on at any time rather than needing to have it flow seamlessly from one chapter to the next. If I tire of working on one I just jump into another and go from there to the next.
Technically there are two Alts that are finished, however I haven't published them because in one the main characters don't make an appearance at all, and in the other I'm trying to just add More to it. Both of these Alts were originally comments on the original story, and are still present, but again, the one has no Woona/Chara/Sans/whoever and the other feels like it needs more to it since the only time Woona or Chara are actually in it, Woona's (spoilers) and doesn't interact with the other characters. In any case, the next addition should be done in another day, maybe two if something comes up. I'm working on two of them right now, so it'll either be overall silly, or dramatic in some fashion.
I'd like to add another addition to The Grass Ain't Always Greener sometime in the near future as well, but I can't really decide what characters to go with. I've got a little in-the-works on the group that involves Rarity, Big Mac, Button Mash and Sweetie Belle as well as another involving the banished group from Canterlot and finally more on the Gryphon borderlands (last one on that subject). It'll be one of those.
Unlike Alt-Ends and Doomed Detours which is ALL online on this site, however, I'm keeping what I've written for that saved on my computer directly, and stupid me, unlike when I wrote some of my older Zelda stuff years ago, rather than separating the chapters as individual documents it's all on one file. I really should look into doing that again given that it's following at least three groups as well as side-stories....Hindsight, eh?
