4. Mesmoria, Unisex God/Goddess of Changelings (Flutter Ponies)
Whether by fault or design, Mesmoria is a unique deity because he/she is both genders. Because of this, there were many Gods who mocked him/her for having both sexes, leaving him/her with very few allies and friends. Yet, there was no god or goddess that loved their creations more than him/her nor has one god’s creation gone through so much strife and suffering like theirs. Her creation’s original names were called the Flutter Ponies, named in honor of her only friend at the time, Fausticorn. However, instead of this pleasing her friend, this only angered her as she accused Mesmoria of copying her and demanded that she would be punished, but the Creator Gods saw no reason too. Mesmoria’s race was that of a fairy like group that had the ability to absorb love and other emotions to use them for food and energy. Two unique things about this race would always stand the test of time, even after their eventual changeling appearance. First, be it male or female, any changeling can give birth with any other race, but the child would always be a changeling. And second, they had access to a hive mind that allowed them to mentally communicate with each other, and, in some rare cases, communicate with their god/goddess.
The Flutter Ponies would soon find themselves in a problem, the Wendigos were too close to their lands and they were slowly dying off as a race. Seeking a new land, Mesmoria sent her creations to the west, but a terrible sea storm caused the race to split into two locations. The first would go to a land uninhabited by others and establish their own society until their domination and subjection by the unicorns who would make Unicornia. The second group landed in Kyukyo, land of the Kitsune under the protection of the Goddess Amanari. Pitying the Flutter Ponies, Amanari allowed them to stay in her lands for a period until one of the Flutter Ponies became a secret lover to the Emperor’s daughter. When she gave birth to their child, the daughter feared for her reputation and lied saying the Flutter Pony raped her. Since the royal bloodline were decedents of Amanari, she was very protective of them and so she cursed the entire Flutter Ponies to look like horrible bug creatures that were so ugly and evil looking that none could stand them. This was only to affect the ones who were in Kyukyo at the time, not the ones currently under the thumb of the Unicornians. It was only later that Amanari learned the truth and has regretted her actions since.
With her people cursed and exiled again, they had no choice but to enter the Badlands to escape all who feared and shunned them. Hated by all, Mesmoria tried as hard as she could to cure her people, but the curse was too strong. Yet she was able to help them by blessing them with the ability to change their appearance, this way they could hide in society and not be feared. Further hope came in the form of Discord, the Spirit of Chaos who offered to lift the curse with this magical power if he could help him cause chaos all over the world. Seeing that all the other gods had abandoned her for help, Mesmoria and her people agreed and became Discord’s spies. After his downfall, the changelings went into further hiding, and were soon believed to be dead by most of the world. Deciding to take advantage of this, the changelings changed their society to one of deception and manipulation so that they could be safe and protected. A caste system from which all changelings would be born and die under was made. The castes were:
Untouchable: Those who are reborn criminals forced to be treated worse than dirt for the rest of their lives until death.
Worker: Born into manual labor position such as construction jobs, some are even to be servants to higher class citizens.
Merchants: Traders and sellers of goods collected around the hive and world
Gatherers: Those who sneak off into other lands to gather love for the hive to feed on
Teachers: Those whose duty was to teach each new changeling their purpose based on the class they were born under
Warriors: Those who are trained to fight for the Changeling Hive, there is also a sub group dedicated to spying and assassination.
Priests: Those whose duty is to ensure everyone is worshiping Mesmoria and honor the rituals and festive holidays for her
Royal: The royal bloodline was originally the decedent of the child born from the Kitsune and Flutter Pony, but that line has died out and other bloodlines have come and go over the years. They rule all the changelings and their word is law.
Only recently, since the death of Queen Chrysalis, has the changeling race began to change to a republic and become allies with Equestria, the very nation that started their suffering. There is a divide between the race if this is a good thing or not, but Mesmoria has strangely been silent to her priests and many fear what has happened.
Standing With Other Gods: All gods and goddess despise Mesmoria for being both genders or her creations with their looks or spy like ways. Only Sceptum Cain cared about her due to this nature, and she mourned for him when he was lost like any other deity despite siding with Discord. Her worst relations are with Fausticorn and Amanari, although the latter has regretted her actions since.
Looks: A tall Flutter Pony (or changeling) with six multi-colored wings with both male and female looks. They also have three eyes, no mouth, and a halo over their head.
Religious Structure: The religious structure is very like Hinduism, only instead of multiple gods it’s one god. It is believed that all royal changelings become demi-gods upon death so they are also worshiped as such, although this practice has fallen out since becoming a republic. Flutter Ponies only worship her since they have no queens.
Afterlife: All changelings and Flutter Ponies that die are reincarnated after death with a better or worse life depending on their karma. There is an afterlife known as “Mesmoria’s Palace” where those who earned Mesmoria’s favor come to be fed, loved, and happy forever. However, this is limited to only those special few who earn her blessing.
Wow did Faust make a mistake here. Hopefully she will come around becuase Slag is too cool not to change an opinion on.
The changelings have had a tough time, no wonder they became evil. The idea that they can mate with any species but the child will always be a changeling reminds me of the asari race from the Mass Effect series.
The gods are children? what did the conversation to the "Creator gods" go like "F: shes copying me! M: nuh uh! F: yuh uh! M: nuh uh! F: yuh uh! M: nuh uh!"
... that might actually fit the narrative.

Wow, the deities of this verse suffer as much as their creations.
