One year of stories · 2:00am Mar 23rd, 2017
So, yesterday marked one whole year of My Little Pony: Small Town Life, and I must say that it doesn't feel like it's been that long.
Originally, I started out this series just hoping to add some little bit to the world of My Little Pony, a universe that added some joy to my life. The premise of my idea was simple, if somewhat overused; a new pony moves to Ponyville, and lives their life in this small, crazy town. Part of the reason I chose Ponyville was because it was quite well established in the show, while simultaneously being flexible enough for me to add characters and locations as I needed them, so long as they weren't too crazy. The other reason I chose Ponyville was because I had an idea in mind for how I wanted the main character, Silver Streak, to think and act, and I knew even if I made up a town for him to move to, he'd just go and sit in his new house, studying magic and having nightmares about his attack; however, thanks to Pinkie Pie welcoming him to town, and Twilight Sparkle telling him to go make friends, he was pushed to meet ponies and socialize.
I admit, I wish this story could be more popular than it is, considering how few people are following it or checking it out, but the big thing is that I'm enjoying writing this story, and I'm not planning on stopping anytime soon. I'll just keep going on, and hope that my effort gets more readers in the long run, and if it doesn't then I'll keep writing and having fun with it.
Thank you everyone for reading so far, and please stick around for more!
