Rewrites!

As it says on the title, I just finished some rewrites on Small Town Life, specifically Episode 17 - Meet the Parents, which was a MAJOR change at Sunny's mother's announcement of her retirement, and some edits on Short 4 and a few episodes after that.

As I've struggled with Episode 22, I've come to realize that the drama I added in Episode 17 about Sunny's issues with her mother were just making things even harder when I had several ideas to tackle for a big scene I'm trying to write. So, I changed the announcement scene from Sunny brushing off concerns and dragging Silver home to an actual conversation about feelings and such. I'd strongly suggest you all re-read Episode 17 and Short 4 to see what's changed. With these rewrites done, I feel that I should have an easier time getting Episode 22 completed. I'll need to do some rewrites of that as well, and then write the major scene that I had to change, but it'll be a lot better than it would have been otherwise.

Once that's completed and posted, I'm going to put Small Town Life on a bit of a hiatus while I work on a few one-shots I've been planning out for a while now. Part of my issue with getting these episodes written in recent months -- besides Monster Hunter World having taken up so much time -- was a lack of outlines like I had made for the first 10 episodes. Early on, those outlines were rather detailed, and made things easy for me, but after that I went with a synopsis, bullet-points for critical ideas, and then struggled along after that. I need to go back to the old way of creating outlines, but per-episode, and working on a few one-shots with this system will help me figure out the best way to do that when I go back to writing Small Town Life.
