There seems to be some confusion about Shēdo's size. For that, I am sorry, but once again, as a writer, I was playing tricks upon my reader. Shēdo's size hasn't changed in the story. She's still a pup. But perspectives have changed. Allow me to illustrate.
How Shēdo sees herself:
I'm a cute little puppy!
How others (and Conifer) sees Shēdo:
Don't touch my zebra!
To reiterate; Shēdo sees:
What others see:
Nothing about Shēdo has changed. That is all.
That second picture; the dog looks like they can bench-press you, and your house!

Well, they're full sized. Full grown.
The size seems to have some range to it, but some of the diamond dogs are pretty darn big.

I based her off of the Scottish Deerhound, actually. That was my inspiration. Lean, lanky, and lithe.

This makes Shēdo a courser. She's not as stocky or heavyset as other diamond dogs, and she's made for both power and speed rather than just raw strength. When she's a full grown adult, she'll be intimidatingly large, even by the standards of her own kind.
