This one's about both stories I'm writing.
First of all, Pony la Pony. This one is my baby on the site. I love it and I will continue to plow ahead on it until I finish it. I'm in the process of re-writing episode 4. Progress is slow, but being made. The difficulty comes in that the original episode 4 was more or less filler, but I don't want my version to be filler. So I'm simultaneously trying to re-write what I already had to be more in character, provide a better story, and make things more ponified. It's slow. But it's working.
Once I'm finished with 4, I still have 5 and 6 to re-write. those ones should be simpler (not easier, just simpler). And after that it's new episodes, which will be awesome. Episode 7 will be very different from the original, while keeping some of the same concepts.
Overall, I can't wait to move forward with this story. Every episode has something cool that I want to write, and I have a lot of ideas I want to flesh out.
And now, Not The First. I suppose I shouldn't be shocked this story is so well liked. But I can't help be surprised every time I get a notification someone is following it/tracking it/whatever, or they've commented saying how much they love it. Just today I was called a "Master Author", which is a new one. Not even the sweet old ladies I had as ELA teachers said that.
I have only a general plan for this story. As a prequel, the ending is a foregone conclusion. As such, I've already written the final chapter and will only be making cursory changes as the story goes on. I have a number of other chapters that are simple ideas. Some are gory, others just plain depressing. Some are weird, and some will get philosophical.
This story will be updated probably every weekend. The number of chapters each time will differ. During the week I don't want to be focusing on something this grim-dark. But whenever I come up with a new idea it'll be added to the list. This fic will be over only when I run out of ways to make the pre-Twilight suffer.
