First Impressions: The Celestia Code · 6:15pm Feb 26th, 2017
Dark, mysterious and intriguing just like your love life. Right Erina?
Thanks sis.I frequently wonder how anyone puts up with me. Anyways, so The Celestia Code yay or neigh?
Those words can’t even begin to describe this masterpiece of literature.
And you tell me I over exaggerate. Oh my god I’m actually being drawn in by something other than romance it’s really fun to not know what’s going on.
That my dear sister is the power of excellent writing and storytelling. So let’s jump in this first impressions of The Celestia Code.
The story opens on Twilight in dark in some serious thought of should stop the burning or let it happen.
She seems very Guy Montag in the opening. Very introspective on what brought her to this point in life. This is the only way first person works. This whole story is an exception.
For all who don’t know who Guy Montag he’s the main character from Fahrenheit 451(it’s a really good read it). I will note the fact that the Celestia Code was written in the First person was probably why it was on page eight of my read it later list. I now regret this.
Note that not all first person stories are bad it just takes a metric fuck ton more work because you have to know your character as well as you know yourself. And yes this is a story I regret not reading sooner.
Regrets we all have them and we only have them when wonder the if i did differently. Now that it has happened it’s time for Twilight’s flashback.
Ya’ know I just love when I’m having a normal day and then a wild secret passage has appeared that’s new and it ends up destroying my life.
Well that's life for you full of random encounters. So Twilight be the ever curious pony that she is decides to take the plunge into the abyss. Their she finds a door.
Looks as though Celestia took a page from Sombra’s book. Fuckin’ Sombra. Beyond the door lies a vault filled to the brim with rare manuscripts and books. All completely undocumented and existing nowhere else on the planet.
This just in Princess Twilight was found dead after finding a hidden section of the Canterlot Archives. Cause of death is believed to be heartfailur. The royal sisters have declined a statem at this time.
In other news Twilight’s “Number One Assistant” found in a compromising position with his assumed lover Royal Guardsman Flash Sentry.
All jokes aside she did hatch a plan on how she could stay in the hidden part of the library for half a year. But logic steps in and stops her.
Yes she decides “I’m gonna talk to the princesses about having potentially broken into a restricted room even Celestia admits she doesn’t remember the contents of.”
Then Celestia makes Twilight’s life even better by saying she could catalog the room. I was put on catalog duty once it sucks to no end.
I feel ya’. So Twilight decides to catalog rare manuscripts and god is that side of Twilight’s mind a boring place to be.
After weeks what I could only imagine if it were someone else they would have literal die of boredom. But on this day Twilight finds a journal that changes her whole very perception history. As they say history is written by the victors.
It sure is. Seeing as the piece of info that changes her daily perception of history is a painting of Celestia. Not just any painting mind you a painting depicting the citizens of equestria cowering in fear of their beloved leader Celestia.
Well with any ruler or leader there are some who don't like them. But in Twilight’s case Celestia was second mother. So upon seeing this image of beloved Celestia starts to question what is written down in history. When did we enter the realm of conspiracy theories?
This isn’t a conspiracy theory Celestia is evil sometimes.
Trolllestia doesn’t count. And don’t go all “Nothing is true; everything is permitted” crap.At least Twilight doesn't believe it.
What about that time when she used that crazy Sombra dark magic whatever? Anyone who can use that has at least a couple skeletons in the closet.
Twilight used it too. Some now Twilight’s on the hunt for the truth, like the good scientist she is.
I bet she finds that Celestia’s hiding something. Back on track she retrieves all the information she can on The author… Professor Sharphoof. You think the name would be more.
According to the History of Equestria volume 5 two ponies were named Sharphoof. One an Archaeologist and the other a Rebel. So by using deductive reasoning one could assume that these two Sharphoofs are 100% different ponies, But I’m not sold. Or it maybe the fact that I believe that they are the same is just because I have only read two chapters.
In finding this out we’re introduced to Jigsaw.
Oh boy don't just have the biggest crushed on her ever.
I- She- uhmmmmm… She’s okay I guess. She’s a good example of how OC’s should be treated.
Right you are my Small sister. Jigsaw doesn’t fall prey to the mary sue effect. How this problem circumvented is by creating a character that has a quirks and personality that are to her unlike any other character. Where there some similarities with other she’s not a clone. This is just the start of why Jigsaw is a good OC. But to get into the nitty gritty details would take too long. So I ship it.
Oh my god I already have so much fanart flowing through my brain. I wish I could draw!!!!!
But their is much more out there. Question that need answer and Story of forgent pasts, dark secret and mystery of it all. But only need to read The Celestia Code to truth that lies beneath the surface.
This story really has a lot going for it even in the first two chapters I’ve been tempted all day to continue. Jigsaw goes onto my list of OC’s done right. And that List is:
1.Psych from University Days
2.Jigsaw From The Celestia Codewho is so cute you want plushie of?
Sh-Shutup! I totes need one. Not want.... Need.
Right *winks*. So proliminary rating 0 to 10. O being rolling a 1 on a D20 and 10 being rolling a 20 on a D20. I would say 9.5. This has a lot going for it and think I need to make room in a week to read it. How about you Erina?
9.75 For the flawless presentation of an OC alone. Accompanying is light comedy, great first person story telling and near perfect world building there’s almost nothing wrong here. The only thing wrong is that I haven’t read more.
For the second time in your life you are right oh so tiny sister. The world is built like well crafted cage that houses an alien octopus monster and the door is open………. Erina did you forget to lock the door? *grabs a rifle and loads a mag.*
Tail on! *Armour appears* I think I’ll just take the voltage blaster. *Sheds armour*
Ok Quickly say good bye. Then we have to search the whole ship I’ll take decks 41-22 going to the bow of the Silvana and you take decks 20-1 headed to the stern of the Silvana. Till next everyone.
I hate searching the lower decks. Anywho goodbye darlings. Be sure to check this blog to see where we got started.
Hey everyone Erina here thanks for taking the time to read this. If you want to check out Winter the link is here. And I’ve challenged everyone to crack the code to my most recent unpublished project check that out here. A
With love,

Quite impressive.. and yeah the story will suck you in from the very start and not let go..... even iisaw has gotten trapped, he's now on book 4 of the trilogy, with plans for more in the works.
Interesting way to do a review.. very nice, funny, good back and forth, bit light on overall details, but is just two chapters.. not bad.
Now to see how the first two chapters of the sequel work for you hehehehehe
