    Ew, oral presentations

At least it's only 25 minutes long. I remember when I was taking a grad course when I was still undergrad (did it for a joint BS/MS program), the grad students did their presentations throughout the entire class, which meant they did 80-minute long presentations. I really hope I don't end up having to do that during my degree...but anyway, the presentation I have to do in the beginning of

    Covert Action

That's pretty much the game I've been playing non-stop the past few days. Not Torchlight 2, not Borderlands 2 either. Nope, instead I've been constantly playing a 22-year-old DOS game, but oh man is it amazing. For those that have never played it, you basically play as an agent for the CIA, taking on various missions and catching the suspects to prevent the crime. You can visit organizations

    There's a Blog?!

So yeah, I was just going through the site and such, checking out random stories, took another look at the stats on my story, and that's when I realize...next to my name was a "blog" button. Holy crap, am I that oblivious?

That's pretty much the game I've been playing non-stop the past few days. Not Torchlight 2, not Borderlands 2 either. Nope, instead I've been constantly playing a 22-year-old DOS game, but oh man is it amazing. For those that have never played it, you basically play as an agent for the CIA, taking on various missions and catching the suspects to prevent the crime. You can visit organizations in different locations to place wiretaps or conduct break-ins to gather information to help towards the case, and can even make use of cryptology to decode gathered messages to learn more about the mission plans. There's also some car chases in the game (although the shootouts during a break-in are much more exciting).

The best part about this game? All of the missions are randomly generated. Eeyup. Although you'll see some names and plot formats being re-used after so much time spent playing, you'll still get different combinations each time, which I really like about the game (I'm a sucker for anything that randomly generates levels/missions like that).

Continuing with that thought, if you've never played it, I highly suggest giving it a try if you're into detective work and top-down shooting action. And puzzle solving if you prefer to do more wiretapping/cryptology over break-ins (though you MUST do break-ins to catch the suspects). Just google "Covert Action", you'll find some downloads for it. You'll need DOSBox to play it too.

For those not really into trying it, here's a video I found of someone playing it, just to give you some idea of what the game is like:

And now, I really want to write a spy story. Another idea to add to the list I guess? Hopefully within the next few weeks I'll decide on something to write.

Sure, I'm up for a new game. I'll give a try later when I get some free time
