So yeah, I was just going through the site and such, checking out random stories, took another look at the stats on my story, and that's when I realize...next to my name was a "blog" button. Holy crap, am I that oblivious?
So, figured I'd make use of it while its here. Again, thank you all to everyone who enjoyed (or even just read) my first story! Not majoring in English in school (or anything in relation), I actually didn't think I'd do a halfway decent job on the story. Only real writing experience I had was in high school during my IB English courses, and even then the writing wasn't even done in story format: we just focused heavily on proper grammar and punctuation and the like. Even with that I still end up writing things not so well at times, but figured I'd give this a try anyway...kinda wrote it in a bored-but-wanted-to-try-writing-anyway-because-it-seemed-fun way. Eeyup.
And this is the week that things start piling up for me in school. Being a grad student is tough work, I tells ya. Enjoying some time at the library right now, absolutely love it here; even when I have nothing to do sometimes I'll find myself here at 10pm just enjoying the atmosphere. That and there's a Dunkin Donuts in the library, how cool is that?
Anyway, due to the amount of people that actually ended up liking/favoriting my story, I would love to start another one sometime soon. As much as I liked writing a romantic fic, I don't want to focus on that genre alone (unless it turns out to be the only area I can write well in, haha). Had this odd idea though, while playing on my Super Nintendo emulator...about Twilight Sparkle acquiring a game system with a copy of SimCity, and all the hilarity that ensues when the ponies have trouble making a town. I dunno, probably just was a funny idea at the time to me, not sure if I'd actually go so far as to write about it. Who knows?
And if I actually did write a fic like that, I'd actually play the game as I write it, playing horribly on purpose to get pics for the story. After all it'd be really tough for people to read about every single tile being placed I'm sure.
As I reach the end of this post, I realize I no longer have any idea what I'm talking about anymore, so now I leave you with a video of a drunk guy obnoxiously singing The Flim Flam Brothers Song (warning to headphone users like myself: it's flipping loud).
