Ever had that desire to pull a bait-and-switch on big-shot days?
I have. Take today for example. Many would know today is Saint Valentine's. But in my country, it is also Telegraphist Day. Believe me, for long I have had this big desire for just randomly one February 14, in this place, you start to see the typical Hearts and Hooves stories... and BAM, one story about telegraphist ponies going on strike.
Would it ever happen? Eh, who knows. I don't know if I could really make such a premise justice. Not to mention, what exactly would I be aiming for with such a story? An in-joke about overlapping dates? Who outside my country would get it, after all. It's details like that which makes me reconsider if I could really go with it. But who knows... maybe I may just discard my worries, and write such a story anyway. Well, not on this year. And perhaps not with this particular example. Maybe in the next (year or overlapping date)... who knows...
That said, I am content for now to just raise awareness of a little silly idea of mine...
