This came out of nowhere, huh. Well, recently I've been thinking about changing my username here. Why? Well, sit down, and let me tell you a story...
Back in late 2014, when I made the decision to join Fimfiction, I was debating about what username to go with. You see, by that point, I had spent years signed up in other places over the Internet. Since late 2008, at least. Though the exact number escapes me, I know there had been at least 3-4 or so places where I used the same username, the one I just changed mine here into. Though you see, MLP for me was still relatively new, had only really into it around 2013 or so. Back then, I had encountered how being a fan of MLP outside the apparent intended target demographic seemed to be... something with not good reception, it seemed. Not that that stigma hasn't fully gone away, I think, but anyway. So from what I was seeing, I wasn't sure if I wanted to use the same username here, on the remote chance someone would go "Hey, is this the same guy from X?" Not that it has happened, I think. I've found at least one place with someone with the same username, but wasn't me. So I know I'm not the only one who has ever used this one. It's not like it is an obscure or unique username, in any case. Anyway, so I decided to go with a different username for once, and thus, I had the username I had for almost four years.
Recently, though, I was thinking that at this point, who cares. I think I'm past the point of really worrying about that sort of things... maybe. Well, enough to change the username to be consistent with the rest of mine.
So... that's pretty much it. My "true" name on the internet is now here, as everywhere else I frequent or used to frequent. Outside of that, nothing has changed. Pretty much.
