So, here is a little treat · 9:05am Feb 10th, 2017

For those of you that want it, here is the first page or so of the first book concerning Aurthur's life. Would you read the rest of it?

Jumping out of a bush, I scare a friend of mine before running away laughing. Such is the life of a child. Especially one as privileged as me. Born to a devout noble family in Israel, much was expected of me. I would one day stand by my brother's side as an advisor, I am expected to have an unshakable faith in God, as well as destined to lead armies in the protection of our homeland. Regularly tutored, I excelled in my studies, was showing a natural talent in swordplay, and it was assumed that I would be a good advisor, maybe even lord, someday.

That all changed when the Council of Gods showed themselves to me. They came one night, after everyone else was asleep. They told me that I would be fulfilling a great destiny, one that would make what Jesus did pale in comparison. They also told me that in order for that to happen, I would need to learn as much magic as I could.

In the morning, being the dutiful child that I was, told my father about it. He said,"Well, I figured I wouldn't be able to keep it from you forever. Our family has a history of being Mages, son. I myself am one, and I had believed that at leastone of you or your siblings would have it too."

"Is that what you take Aaron to do everyday? You teach him magic?"

"Yes Adir, and now I think I will have to teach you too." Here he looks as if seeing far away. Father sits like that for several moments, then says, "I may not be able to teach you full control of all your power. You have far more than I do. I will most likely have to send for a tutor, or send you away to live with a more capable Mage." And so, the next morning, I am taken with Aaron for my formal training to begin. I tell my friends that father has decided to teach me some very important things, so as to get them to leave me alone about it.

Aaron seems surprised that I am coming so young, as I am many winters younger than he was when father first took him.

"Adir is coming with us father?"

"Yes, he has the talent too. I must teach him control." That is the end of that. Father takes us to the tower in the corner of our lands. I had always thought that it was abandoned, and never went near it. It would seem as though that was the intended effect. "Welcome to our sanctuary Adir. I must keep this secret, as there are things that we do that could harm others, and your mother does not know that I am a Mage. You must not tell anyone that you are one. There are those that hunt Mages, as well as other Mages that are less than friendly. Once you have tamed your powers, if not mastered them, then it will not matter as much, as you will be able to protect yourself better."
