    Author update!

I'm editing stuff! But also incredibly dried out of writing power atm. I'll get going again soon, but just bear with me for a bit. I'm publishing a chapter of XCOM today, then start on the daily writing (not publishing) again tomorrow morning. In the meantime, always remember:

    Remembering Koji Wada

Like every year, I like to remember the man/legend responsible for the theme songs of one of my favorite shows of all time on the anniversary of his death.

So if you were wondering about the timing for the latest Isekai chapters? There you go.

    Welp, here's a life update

These last couple of weeks have been a bit of a rollercoaster. Good things have happened, and also bad ones. No wonder I could relate to both Furina and Navia in the latest Isekai chapter. Sometimes pretending things are fine is really exhausting, even if they do get better.

...still writing ponies. (Among other things, granted.)

Update to the Isekai coming tonight! And some additional details and change of plans.

First, to everyone waiting patiently for the next Isekai chapter, I apologize for the delay. I know there are a lot of people that want to see another visit to Hell happen soon, and it will, I promise. However, due to some circumstances, I decided for a different pair of visitors to visit the bar this week.

Okay, so following up from the last blog... · 12:29am Feb 7th, 2017

...it appears TSC shall continue without the last chapter for Bitaly for now.

Don't worry, it will be done eventually but we don't want the story or momentum to die even more. Another thing that was brought up in the comments and has been mentioned before is the wish for knowing the worlds she'll be visiting in advance. While I don't want to spoil the whole surprise (especially now that I'm revising world visits), I'd like to know if you guys feel this is a positive thing to do.

Do you want to know in advance say... the next three?

Also, for my editors and friends that were/are working with me on this, can you follow up with me on Skype? I'd like to rearrange the teams and discuss some of the story issues with you.

The next three might be a bit much if you'd rather keep them a surprise. Maybe just the next world?

Hint at the worlds but don't outright tell what they are:pinkiehappy::pinkiecrazy::scootangel:

The cliffhanger feels will be so high yet uncertain that will addict the reader even more:pinkiecrazy::pinkiecrazy::pinkiecrazy:

*coming from a person who is addicted*

I think knowing DOES build hype, but that feeling of "oh-ho-ho, shit!!!" When you read the last few lines of a chapter to find out where she is going next is better. I say keep it a secret.

And hey, if you ever want her to stop a serial killer who uses forbidden magic, I'm your man! :pinkiecrazy:

Do you want to know in advance say... the next three?

That doesn't sound too spoilery, so sure.

Personally, I like being surprised, but I can see why someone might want to read the stories in advance.

If it's still the same three I'm familiar with, I say go for it; what I know of the story really isn't too suspenseful without some deep thought.

Personally, i don't want to know any of the worlds, i adore the surprise, like for instance going into the Immortal Games, did not expect it at all and i LOVED it.

I think, depending which ones they are, three might be a bit much (especially if we happen to be nearing the end game), but knowledge of one in advance should be fine I think, so I'm agreeing with this guy ↓

spoil nothing of the worlds, i enjoy that little oh hoho moment of a world transition. I do usually read up on the story to get a great idea of the world, but I can follow easily enough without going out of my way to read the host world's story.
Didn't Dusk Shine make a link in the journal that would give Sweetie the ability to return to his world for a respite? Glad that the Changeling Twilight (world of darkness changeling) gave her that little place of respite in the Hedge. Exciting to find out who the mastermind behind this Multiverse traversing story is.
Also a crossover with Under the Luminous Sky would be pretty awesome, I like mystery stories and this one dropped hints and clues that you could piece together yourself.

I'd like to know so that I could read/reread the source material in advanced like I do for every world in the story.

I like the current system where we discover the new world at the same time as Sweetie.

Spoil nothing of the world. i like being surprised with what world Sweetie goes to next and find out when she does. ;D

I have been waiting for that, wonder what they would feel/say about how Sweetie is now, a RockFae/Assassin/ who is (might be) WAY older than they might remember her as. (It does seem that time is a bit wonky in some universes, with sweetie going through YEARS in groundhog day loops and it being a much shorter amount of time in her home universe.

4412177 With how dark some of those worlds got you'd think Sweetie would have visited Dusk Shine a long time ago.

I'd rather not know at all. Of course, if you put it in a spoiler tag I certainly wouldn't feel compelled to look.

4412065 Again, like I said in the last blogpost Wander D put up I am FAIRLY certain I know what the next world is gonna be as I am an editor for a tale that was crossing over with it... said chapters of TSC were supposed to come out last year, but when TPC went on what is basically a hiatus, the author of the story that is being crossed over with went ahead and did some chapters for his story that saw things from other characters' POV during the time of Sweetie's visit so as not to upset the flow of his story and sadly caught flak for it as folks felt it didn't need to crossover with TSC.

That said, I won't tell you which story that is as I feel it is only proper for Wander D to announce it or not.

Spoil nothing for worlds. Personally, I think if a chapter requires any outside knowledge, then it wasn't written that well in the first place. I like how we, the readers, figure out the new mechanics, laws, relationships, etc. as Sweetie does. It adds a layer of immersion to the whole thing.

From what I gather, some readers want a world list so they can read ahead. Overall though, you give pretty good hints or outright tell us where the next chapter will take place. Combined with the release pacing, most readers should have time to get acquainted with the new setting.

Lastly, telling us all the worlds would lead to a lot more of "You should include ______" comments due to the fact that readers know it has no chance now.

I like finding out at the end of the chapter where she's going next. But before I even began reading this story the TVTropes page already listed a dozen worlds, and I read all of them one after the other in preparation for starting my read of this story. I can say knowing just the setting of later chapters does no harm to the reading experience.

NO! Don't tell us what Sweetie's future holds! A huge part of this story is the constant diving into the unknown and if you make that unknown known you remove a lot of the suspense from the story. It would changexpect the entire feel of the story from us following Sweetie's adventures by reading them to us simply reading about her adventures.

If people want to see the worlds in advance maybe you could put them under a spoiler tag somewhere so those that dont want to know can easily avoid them.

I don't think tying yourself to a next chapter setting is a good idea considering what you just had to do. :twilightoops:

I rather like the way it's been going for now. I'm just happy to see you update it lol

4412354 which is why I am wondering if I was mistaken or if wanderer forgot

4412267 so I wasn't mistaken at all was I?

4413715 Yeah, you're not mistaken, but I don't think he's forgotten either since I (and I'm sure others) have mentioned it several times over the years. I can only assume that Sweetie's return would have thrown off the direction he wanted the story to go, and Sweetie "forgot" she has the option. I'm pretty sure Wanderer D told me she would return eventually, but it would have been so long ago that I don't know for sure. :unsuresweetie:

4413727 I should have figured as much that she would have forgotten about that given that it was her second world or something of the sort

Bear in mind that Sweetie knows that if she uses that, she'd end up in Dusk's world with no way out other than maybe being sent to an Equestria not her own.

4414713 Oh, so she needs some way to save a checkpoint first or locate and travel to a dimension with a shard without having to find one in the world she's in? :facehoof:

4414754 Not to mention, that spell was designed to work from Dusk's world. The same spell, if attempted, would most likely send her somewhere completely different.

4414759 Wait, Dusk didn't account for that? :rainbowderp: So far, Sweetie has been to worlds which seem to operate with the same laws of physics and magic. Therefore, Dusk should be able to make the spell work anywhere, right? :unsuresweetie:

4414713 a sacrifice, to initiate the shift, she could absorb one of the tied gem fragments but of course its a sadistic choice ordeal. then again the immortal game has shown she can be forced to other worlds holding twilight fragments.

4414771 If you recall correctly, in the original story they had to account for location and such, and several worlds work with different laws for magic too :scootangel:

4414788 I dun wanna know what of anything, if theres only this delay on chryssalid's portion, then we can put it on hold, refer to it later. still the fact that the story is complete is like the death star in my eyes
just you know make sure that the reactor core isn't vunerable

4414788 Well then, I really need to reread this one. I was thinking about it, but now it's set. Oddly, this is an occasion of joy. :pinkiehappy:

I like just seeing the next one, because lets me read it ahead of the chapter's release and understand the references. Any more than that is not necessary for enjoying the story and locks you in to a promise you may have difficulty keeping.

Fun idea: When SB activates Akela, it makes lightsaber noises
