major updates

well, it seems as though chapter 7 of my fic The Crystal War is gonna be longer than expected. the way i want it, there's still a lot i want to address (featuring Rainbow Dash and Lightning Dust and the rest of the Wonderbolt Academy)

i'm also working on another pretty big story. does anyone remember the game The Hidden? it's a multiplayer game where one person plays the Hidden, assumably an escaped convict who can turn invisible, stick to walls, and has a knife. here's a couple videos of it's gameplay

i was watching one of their more recent uploads, and i started wondering how, if at all possible, it could work, pseudo-scientifically at least. i started jotting down ideas for writing a non-pony-related story, but i realized it wouldn't get too far, as i would have to literally invent every aspect of the story, as opposed to only mostly all of it, so i turned it into ponies. writing it went much smoother after i made the switch, because i realized Bon Bon was already a good character to add in

IF YOU'RE HAVING TROUBLE MAKING YOUR STORY FLOW!! i was also listening to Scribbler's Month of Macabre audio adaptations when i came up with the idea, and it helped me a TON by imagining her narrating my story as i wrote down the words. also, i specifically created a character with one of her best friends and voice actors, DaWillstinator (aka Thespio), in mind
