#1. Winter Bells by Pen Stroke
This wonderful read is by none other than the talented Pen Stroke, author of the amazing Past Sins, which Winter Bells is a sequel to. Reading Past Sins first is necessary to understand what's going on.

This amazing tale features our beloved Nyx, going with her mother Twilight Sparkle to visit her family in Canterlot for Hearth's Warming. But many are still reluctant to trust Nyx, including Twilight's brother, Shining Armor.
The entire story is a beautiful, heartwarming piece with a fair share of adorableness and drama. Nyx's nightmare near the end is particularly heartbreaking, but ends on a happy note.
I highly recommend this, and the rest of the Past Sins universe stories, to everyone looking for a good read.
