I wonder... who still follows me?

And, if you do, what would you say about me coming back? I know it's been a while (if you can call a few years "a while"), but while I've been away I've learned, been humbled, and found my passion for storytelling once again. I'd be so happy if some people decided my work was worth reading after all this time.

Thank you so much, and I'll do my best to entertain you once again!

I come back, and this is the welcome I receive...

So, I post the 13k story I've been working on for a month and it gets twenty-something views and three thumbs--one of them down! I'm just wondering where everyone is... I mean, I don't expect sad tragedies to be everyone's cup of tea, especially with what I've written in the past, but I'm proud of this work (even though I know I probably shouldn't be).

My Belated Christmas Present to You

    Merry Chris-

Huh? It's no longer Christmas? :rainbowhuh: Wait, it's past new years?! :rainbowderp: Woah, how long was I out for?! :rainbowhuh:

Anyway, I finally posted my new story "My Life." I hope those that read it will enjoy it! :pinkiehappy:

    Is it Hoovesteps or Hoofsteps?

Pony terminology is confusing. What's the alternative for "handiwork" or "craftsmanship?" Is there one? And if there is, are there more like this? Do we switch "hand" for "hoof" and "man" for "stallion" or "pony?" They seem like a pretty gender ambiguous culture--but still use "guys" as a way to call a general group, typically between friends. On the other hand--or hoof--they also have pretty

    Week Publish Game

So, on Christmas (at, like, 4:00 in the morning the day after, actually) I put a story up for posting here on Fimfiction.

Now, "where is this story?" one might ask.

    Still not posted.

"Why?" might that same person ask.

Because the publishers didn't post it by new year's and I got cold feet.

Christmas, anyone? Maybe Kwanzaa or Hanukkah? · 11:28am Dec 11th, 2016

So... I have a new pair of glasses, my studies are going swimmingly, and I've gotten back into the mood to write.

What does this add up to?

Someone with desire and without inspiration.

I want to write, I have a few characters, and a few ideas--but nothing of substance.

If I can get through my finals intact and keep those few ideas I have in my head, I'll write something up by Christmas.

And, even if I don't, I'll still have a gift for you guys. :raritywink:

Either way, which do you guys want to read more? A rewrite of one of my past stories or something completely new and original?

I'll take votes down below.

I'd prefer something original, but a rewrite would be nice, too.

I would love for Time and Time again to continue

I've had a few ideas about what TaTA would look like after another rewrite. If you have any suggestions or ideas, I'm all ears! :pinkiehappy:

To continue or have a rewrite? :duck: I don't remember much of the story itself (I'm rereading all of my old works from oldest to newest (and the comments) to get a feel for what I have to improve in) but I do feel like I could do better with a redo... again.

And just starting from where I left off has crossed my mind... I don't think I can, though... I don't remember where I was going... :unsuresweetie:

4336059 you've already done a couple rewrites if I remember correctly so one more couldn't hurt but I would recommend not putting it in the displaced universe or having crossovers with other fics because almost all of those turn out to be cancerous

4336176
Yeah, that's part of the issue with the last one. If I do rewrite it, I definitely won't have some things, like crossovers and OP powers and such...

4336291 Gilgamesh will be disappointed, he's been looking forward to keeping his promise to your character.

4337425
If/when Shinigamisparda comes to my userpage looking for another crossover, I'd be happy to write one with him. Maybe even giving a glimpse into what I planned for the crossover version. :raritywink:

In fact, I can't wait until that happens! :pinkiehappy:

4338178 He recently had Gilgamesh reacquire the Zantetsuken blade, and he made a point of bringing up the promise he made to separate your character from his 'evil' half.

Spoilers much?! I was reading through that just earlier!! :rainbowlaugh:

I'll have to message him for a little one-off. :ajsmug:

Anyway, I'll just have to message him. Hope you enjoy the chapter we will eventually write.

But, before that, I'll have to catch up to where he is. :raritywink:

Spoilers much?!

Actually, not that much if you think about it. It was inevitable that it would happen eventually, given that he's been gathering his weapons the entire time throughout both stories. It'd be like telling a George R. R. Martin fan that a character -not even a specific one, just 'a' character- dies in one of his books. The reason I posted that was to illustrate that he was still including points from your previous crossover within his own story.

4340077
I know, it was a joke, friend!! :pinkiehappy:

In truth, I'm actually just super excited that he's gotten to that point, and extremely thrilled that he remembered that!!

WHY ISN'T THERE AN EMOJI MORE HAPPY THAN "PINKIEHAPPY"?!?! :pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy::pinkiehappy:

4340081 Because that would cause the multiverse to implode... twice.

4340084
YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!!!!! :rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh:

Write something new, sitting and doing infinite rewrites doesn't get you anywhere just more and more frustrated. Writing new stuff can be like that too but it's also generally got a higher chance of resulting in something that improves over your previous works than if you 'sit and stew on the past' as it were. In any event taking a break from an idea is the best way to let it evolve and grow.

4341198
Sounds like that's exactly what I'll do. Thank you.
