This morning, the fans and readers of Fallout: Equestria honored my story with its 8000th "thumbs up" here on FIMfiction. 
Thank you for enjoying my story and choosing to follow me. Thank you for all the wonderful comments and favorites. But more, thank you for being inspired and motivated, giving back to all of us with your talents and your time. Thank you for your videos, your games and your animation projects; thank you for your art and music and stories and so much more!
But most of all, thank you for your kindness, and your friendship to others. Thank you for being some of the very best people within the brony fandom. You elevate it.

With that out of the way, what I really came here to say.
Dear Kkat,
I thank you for writing Fallout Equestria. Back when I first heard of it, I was reluctant to dive into it for multiple reasons. For one, I had never (and still haven't) played any of the Fallout games. Second, I was intimidated by the sheer length of the story itself but also the length of the chapters (especially later on).
But I somehow got drawn into the hype and have not regretted it. I love the story and I love how you wrote the world for someone who's knowledge of the Fallout franchise ended with "it plays after the nuclear apocalypse". You build a world that works super well with the MLP canon of back then. It was a pleasure reading and will always be a pleasure to reread.
The fic and a lot of the side fics that spawned from it had a big positive impact on my life. I am not going into details, but I still want to thank you for creating that impressive story and that expandable universe.

Yknow I figured that now is a good time to tell about the time I figured out how many full length sci-fi novels worth of paper it would take to print the whole story. With the average word length of one novel being 25,000 words I think it finished out with 11 full length novels. With a few chapters taking up a full book by sheer length. Congrats kkat. You're the man, the myth and the legend.
And it's earned every one of those.. and more. Thank you again for giving such an amazing story, and just being so damn awesome all around.

I'm surprised it took this long to hit that number of 'thumbs' or 'likes' or whatever you want to call them. I mean it is safe to say that this story is without a doubt a major part of this community, some might even go as far as to say that it partly helped lay the foundation of what we are now.
Before I start rambling insanely, let me say congrats.
It's not just a great story, it's one of the cornerstones of the fandom.
4305261 That's a really unfair estimate. The shortest book in the Harry Potter series is the first one, and that has 77,000 words. The longest is virtually 200,00 words. So, it's safe to suppose that 25,000 words per book is an unreasonably short base to divide any story into.

Dude I did that calculation based on averages. On a scrap of paper I had when I was bored one day last year. Besides I was under for a reason. I think the Harry Potter books are too long anyway. I see that brick of a book and I just "Nope!" Out of there! And I love reading!
Thank you for being the start of a brand new chapter of my life. This story and some fanwork really made me do a revision of who I am. I love you to the deepest extents of my heart.

Damn well earned. Like, in about a month, I went from know jack shit about MLP and FiM, to listening to the whole Fo:E in about a week, and making my own gmail just so I could make a FiMfic account. Stayed up the whole weekend reading it, no regrets. It would be like binge-reading Harry Potter, except only one main character we know and love dies.
