I've been busy lately, so it took me longer than I'd hoped to get a solid plan for where the story's going, but I'm there now and I've been writing again, working on the next chapter.
As well as moving the Silver Spoon plot forwards, I want to start dealing with the unresolved romance aspects in the story starting with the next few chapters. When things with Spoon kick off for real, there won't really be the downtime for the cast to do too much falling in love, so I'm planning to lay most of the groundwork before the plot hits the next crisis. Speaking of which, this next crisis is a smaller one, the resolution of which will lead into the big crisis that's going to serve as the grand finale, and from then on into a sort of resolution stage, at the conclusion of which the story will end.
That's still a lot more story than it might sound, but we are coming to an end now (I'd say we're probably close to 2/3 of the way to the end now) and that means that the future of the story is a lot more set in stone than it has been at many points in the past. Point is, I've got about a third of the story left to write and a good plan to follow when writing it. I will finish this story, and it's my hope to finish it well. The story's back on track at last, so thank you for waiting and I hope to see you soon in the next chapter.
Do you have an eta on the next chapter yet? If not, can you at least give us a ballpark estimate?

Well, the next chapter is about a quarter to a third done, but progress isn't as fast as I'd like, since I'm still getting back into the mindset of writing CC. I keep having to read back through earlier chapters to make sure that I don't reference things I didn't put in the story yet, or forget things that are currently important to it, so that slows it down a little.
All that considered, I'd say... two, maybe three weeks. If things go smoothly, 2 weeks should be enough, 3 weeks if not, and of course I'll upload sooner if I finish sooner. I'm still getting into the swing of things again, but I'll try to get a chapter out ASAP.
Hope that helps!
4304645 Yep, I'm mostly just anxious to read the next, and I have a little trouble with patience, but have a rough estimate on updates is always nice. We live in a world of fast results, and that has led to many members of the younger generations having trouble with concept of dedicating extra time for a better result. I don't know about those individuals all that well, but for me having a rough time estimate actually helps with my focus because that means it won't be on my mind 'til then.
