Hot Dam - Chapter 2 · 12:37am Nov 13th, 2016
Good news everybody.
The first draft of Chapter 2 of Hot Dam is off to my pre-readers/editors, and I've got confirmation that all of them have either seen the PM alerting them to this fact, or that they've actually started pointing out all of my mistakes. (Pity them for my mistakes are Legion)
This means that hopefully we should have Chapter 2 out by month end, and I've already started work on the barest parts of chapter 3 while they pick chapter 2 apart, so look out for that early March 2017.
In other news, enjoy the blues.

Chapter 3 promises to be either a lot of dialogue, or a lot of transition into the story proper (Episode 1&2 of Season 3), or (much more likely) a hefty combination of both dialogue and transition; I'm not much cop at either dialogues or transitions.
After that it should go much faster, and I would be surprised if I took this arc over 10 chapters, but considering that Chapter 1 &2 were originally going to be a single chapter in the planning stages until word count caught me by surprise. I thought it would be about 4,000 words for the whole thing.
Chapter 1 is 7,000ish, and Chapter 2 is just short change of 6,500 at the current draft (without notes, author's notes are 1,500 words).
Where did I go wrong?
