Good luck man, it was a long and hard journey and let me tell you, it was not worth it.
One of my favorite little touches in this game is just how caked in filth the boys get if you spend a few days in a row fighting, hunting, riding, fishing and questing.
Heck, Noctis at least even has a special idle animation in that state, where he tries to comb out the dirt from his hair that's clearly not quite as styled anymore as when you set out.
It's such a small thing, but it really does make rolling into town after a long grind and arriving at the hotel deeply satisfying in a way that no other game's ever really managed before for me.

Honestly I thought that was indicative of how many times Noct dropped into danger between camping stops.
It would explain just how quickly I ruined his fancy royal suit.

It, and just how much the boys keep belly-aching about it, does become really noticeable once you start doing night hunts, at any rate.
