So my epic journey begins: brainstorming, and interrogating friends for opinions! · 3:43pm Sep 19th, 2012
Okay, so I decided to post a blog update. Mainly so I could glance fondly back at it from time to time, but also so that anyone who happens to be strolling across my page knows what I'm going to be up to.
A few days ago, I wrote "The Sonic Rainboom". It was the first fanfic I'd ever written. It has never seen a prereader or an editor. It was not designed to be groundbreaking or plot-twisting. It's only purpose was to challenge my ability as a writer, encouraging criticism and advise alike, to be sure that everything else I write isn't a complete load of Sh-... I mean, tosh... :3
And I've been brainstorming these last few days, and have come up with a whole list of ideas that I'd like to have a go at writing.
Some of them are more imaginative than others.
Some are more in-depth than others.
The majority have a Romance tag. What can I say? Who doesn't love a good romance novel?
However there are a lot of ideas. So my first plan of action is to sort the wheat from the chaff. Follow that up with a few drafts, grab some opinions from friends, and then begin writing. I actually have no idea how long it will be before I have anything to show you guys, but hopefully I won't get Writer's Block within the first few paragraphs ;)
Also, trying to create an OC you don't want to just punch within the first chapter will be difficult. Maybe I can make use of that?
