EL Hiatus + General Hiatus · 7:56pm Oct 11th, 2016
Hi everyone!
Due to work and personal related issues, I'm forced to put most of my planned fics on a temporary hiatus. I wasn't originally planning on announcing this, but some readers convinced me to do so, so here I am. I should be officially back in January, but until then I will quiet down as I focus on work and other writings.
Now, I tagged Enchanted Library because I have a lot of news to give on it, so those interested in that fic should continue reading if they want o:

So, work has been murdering me for the past few weeks. The thing with being a production assistant is that there ARE no schedules, and since we've been on set for three weeks straight, my time has been devoted to either working or sleeping.
So, officially, Enchanted Library is on HIATUS.
As a reader of fanfics myself, I'm aware that the word hiatus in itself is worrying. There has been no small amount of fanfics who go into hiatus and never return, for one reason or another. That is not the case here.
Despite my workload, I don't want to stop writing altogether so I've set a goal of 1,667 words per day. It's something I can manage just with sitting down and focusing on writing for one or two hours. The actual number comes from NaNoWriMo, as it would take 1,666 daily words to reach the endgoal of 50,000 words in a month.
Now, I could write a new fic, but I've decided on focusing on EL. I have a lot of reasons for this, which I'd rather not go into too much detail, but this is a plan that works out well for me and my workload. It does, sadly, mean that you guys won't have an update until January 1st, but if all works out, I'll have a lengthy amount of chapters written by that time so we'll be able to hop to bi-monthly updates.
If I really do manage to stick to my schedule, I'll try to release one or two chapters in November-December. My ULTIMATE GOAL is to have Part 1 finished by February 14th, as that is the two-year anniversary. The end of Part 1 is going to be a very important event in-story, so I'm also starting to plan out the visual material that will accompany the anniversary.
If you'd like to find me or ask about the progress on the EL-a-thon, there's a little EL Discord Server where I hang out when I have free time. It's filled with fun people, so feel free to join, or stalk, or ask for sneak-peeks, or whatever! It's usually a quiet server, but it depends a lot on who's online! Just be nice and all o:

You're right, hiatus is a worrying word. But at least you have a schedule and a plan. I hope to see more from you in January, then.
