I just don't know what to say about this.
Listen, I enjoy the Apple Family: I think they are good characters and all. I enjoy stories about them just like the next guy but this time this episode left me a bad taste in my mouth. The atmosphere of the episode was simply awkard and weird and the jokes were all building up to a payoff that never came. Maybe it's just my expectations that were too high but it's not a good comedy of errors when everyone forgot what the errors were. Maybe I just can't wrap my head around with Applejack being a terrible liar, the opposite of what she is: I would've accepted it for comedy value, of course. I did it in several occasions with several characters but those times were for comedy while this one simply felt...Off. Also, Derpy in the hospital...Should I laugh at this? The reason behind her eyes was a terrible accident? Do I have to imagine one of the sweetest ponies ever being in a terrible accident? Tell me if you felt that way as well. I'm open for debate. One thing I did like was Big Mac's character arc. I can accept he was a talkative know it all once. He's a sensitive and responsible fellow and we all know no one is born like that.
She has been seen in "Cart Before Ponies" younger and still with Wall eyes, perhaps she was in hospital in the vain attempt to fix it?
