Hello from the other side · 8:16am Feb 8th, 2017
Worry not, I'm not dead. Just sleeping. So, I heard just now the show is coming back in April and...I don't care about it. Yeah, Season Six while it had a few good episodes it kinda burned me out on the show. I'll keep writing (Something, maybe) but I don't think I will follow it. Many, many writers I follow are of the same sentiment and while I may hear something interesting happening in the canon of the show I don't think I will incorporate it. We all know that the movie will be the de facto ending of the show and while a series may decline in quality, the connection we made are what is important. I'm glad to say I've met some of the most wonderful, creative and kind people ever in this fandom. Who cares about the canon? I saw ponies living in the Wasteland, outer space, humanized, in a fantasy setting, in a Star Wars setting, ponies living on our Earth, ponies living in the Earth of 1984, ponies being Avengers, Avengers being ponies, ponies being gamers, gamers becoming ponies and we could go on all day. I mean, if you look at my stories I didn't care about the canon either. I'm finally about to graduate and I want to thank the connections I have for managing this important step. Also, I'm writing other things atm. An ambitious project that I have delayed too many times and when I look at it, being a brony left a mark on it as well. One of my main characters is named Diane's for pony's sake
Well, I'm not burned out on the show I love the direction they're taking the characters. I do hope they end it soon though cause it could turn into another Spongebob but all things considered, I like it even still. And I completely agree this fandom is awesome I hope it never disappears, but it probably will sadly.
4413876 Everything does disappear but not what we had. Those feelings are real. I think the direction they took with the characters reached their destination. I mean, color me surprised if we get some awesome character development but the movie is going to be a grand finale.
4413885 There is however still the chance they will do what Avatar did. Make a new generation of the show set in the current universe with its own characters and settings. That I believe is something that could keep the show running for a long time, moving away from the current cast and focusing on new characters.
Bonjour from the other siiiiiiide~
4414371 In that case I would be interested. Because Korra is awesome.
